Protesters with Greenpeace and the UK-based activist group Everyone Hates Elon (EHE) are braced to express their fury at the extravagant affair, which will see 200 guests enjoy a pre-wedding gala dinner tonight and then several other festivities across three days.
Jeff, 61, already had to change plans as Venice residents have threatened to blockade the city’s historic canals with inflatable crocodiles.

The billionaire “will shut down Venice,” according to Mr. Bezos, has moved the ceremony from the Scuola Grande della Misericordia, a vast, fortress-like complex of shipyards and warehouses that were once used to build Venetian warships.
Ivanka, Donald Trump’s daughter, and her husband Jared Kushner were seen leaving the city to celebrate the lavish event amid the chaos.
Following a day of sightseeing, Ivanka arrived by boat wearing a green dress and a canvas sunhat. Arabella Rose, Joseph Frederick, and Theodore James, the couple’s three children, were present for the holiday.
Among the early arrivals was Jeff’s adoptive father Miguel Bezos. Other members of the Trump family are said to be among the 200 guests as well as Orlando Bloom, Katy Perry, Kris Jenner and Kim Kardashian.
Since he has been dating Miss Sánchez, a news reporter, for about seven years, Jeff is determined that his wedding will go ahead without any further complications.
The 200 guests who will be attending Thursday’s dinner on San Giovanni Evangelista are unlikely to encounter any difficulties once they have arrived. The island’s only residence is a modest five-bedroom home, which was formerly a convent guesthouse and was a part of a long-destroyed monastery complex. It is the only one there is.
However, EHE and Greenpeace protesters erected a massive 20x20m message close to the site where the Amazon founder is scheduled to marry his partner on mainland Venice, where the majority of the guests will be staying.
In St. Mark’s Square, the city’s famous street, reads, “If You Can Rent a Venetian For Your Wedding, You Can Pay More TAX.” The organizations claim that Mr. Bezos, a father of four, is the second-richest man in the world despite reporting a 1.1% true tax rate.
Jeff Bezos can afford to shut down a city for days on end just to get married, according to a spokesperson for EHE. He spent millions on an 11-minute space trip just a few weeks ago. This is the one thing that billionaires like Bezos should pay their wealth taxes if there ever was one.
There are more billionaires than ever in the world, despite the struggles of the average person to pay their bills. These two things are undoubtedly related because we are paying a premium for them. Tax billionaires like Jeff Bezos are now doing it, not rocket science.
