Ant and Dec ban stars from appearing on I’m A Celebrity

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here starts soon, and host Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly have called for a specific group of celebrities to be banned from being on the show

I’m a Celebrity hosts Ant and Dec’s call for ITV to stop letting certain celebs on the show has resurfaced as the network prepares to launch the next series in just a few days.

The hit ITV show has featured a series of politicians over the years, including Nadine Dorries, Matt Hancock and Nigel Farage. Many have seemingly used the show to rehabilitate their reputations and attempt to appear more relatable to the public. But Ant and Dec have both said they would like a series without politicians.

In 2023, the pair were asked on Instagram if the then Prime Minister Rishi Sunak was a potential future campmate. Dec said: “I think we do a year without any politicians.” “Agreed, agreed, agreed,” Ant responded emphatically.

This came the same year that Nigel Farage appeared on the show. He was reportedly offered a fee of up to £1.5 million to take part and finished in third place behind Tony Bellew and Sam Thompson.

When he was joining the show, Farage said: “In the jungle you’re going to find the real me.” The now leader of Reform said he was a “hero” to some and “an absolute villain” to others.

Just the year before, Matt Hancock, the former Health Secretary who resigned after he was caught on CCTV kissing his advisor Gina Coladangelo in his Whitehall office, also finished third on I’m A Celeb. His appearance on the show initially received some backlash, as the Conservative Party suspended the whip from him, but this was restored in 2024.

Hancock said that he wanted to be on the show to display his “human side” and to use reality TV as he felt he needed to share “important messages to the masses”.

Other politicians who have taken part include Robert Kilroy-Silk, in 2008, Nadine Dorries in 2012, Edwina Currie in 2014, and Kezia Dugdale and Stanely Johnson in 2017. Last year’s series did not include one.

This year’s series has not started yet – it will begin on 16 November – but several names have already been rumoured to be taking part. None of these are politicians.

The celebs rumoured to be taking part include Lisa Riley, Shona McGarty, Jack Osbourne, Tommy Fury, Vogue Williams, Kelly Brook, Conor Benn, Ruby Wax, Alex Scott and Denise van Outen. The Mirror also exclusively revealed that Martin Kemp might be taking part.

Caroline Flack’s ex boyfriend now after mum slams ‘lamp attack myth’

Christine Flack has been investigating her daughter’s death and made a TV documentary looking at the decision to prosecute her for allegedly ‘beating boyfriend Lewis Burton with lamp’

Caroline Flack’s mother Christine Flack has bravely opened up about heartbreaking allegations made against the TV presenter in 2019. At the time reports circulated that the Love Island presenter had ‘beat her boyfriend’ with lamp and was preparing for a court trial about those allegations when she took her own life.

Prior to her death in 2020, Flack was dating tennis player Lewis Burton. In December 2019, she was arrested and charged with assault. She was alleged to have Lewis him with a lamp, however, a police report stated that she had confessed to hitting him, but with a mobile phone.

At the time, a spokesperson for the Met Police told The Independent that Burton’s injuries were not “serious” but he was treated by paramedics and taken to hospital. It was later said that he sustained a head injury.

A section from the police incident report was read out in court at an inquest after Caroline’s death, in which she said: “I did it, I whacked him round the head like that.”

The report added that she did a swinging motion with her right hand to show police what she did. She was said to have told officers “I hit him, he was cheating on me. I admit I did it, I used the phone”.

After Flack’s death, Burton took to Instagram to share that his “heart is broken”. He posted a picture of of the two of them at a beach bar and wrote in the caption: “My heart is broken we had something so special.

“I am so lost for words I am in so much pain I miss you so much I know you felt safe with me you always said I don’t think about anything else when I am with you and I was not allowed to be there this time I kept asking and asking. I will be your voice baby I promise I will ask all the questions you wanted and I will get all the answers nothing will bring you back but I will try make you proud everyday. I love you with all my heart.”

He went on to date Lottie Tomlinson, the younger sister of former One Direction star Louis Tomlinson. The two have been together since November 2020 and have two children together and got engaged in 2023.

Lewis is no longer a professional tennis player. He owns a luxury lifestyle and concierge service called Twenty3 Club who aim to “create memories that last a lifetime”

Prosecutors initially only wanted to give Flack a caution, but a senior police officer pushed for her to be charged and said it was in the “public interest”. The company’s services include booking luxury travel experiences, hospitality packages for sporting and music events, and organising corporate events and charity auctions.

Christine Flack criticised the decision to charge her daughter at the time. She said: “If it was an ordinary person, you wouldn’t have bothered.”

Caroline Flack committed suicide in February 2020, and her mother has spent five years investigating her death. In an interview on This Morning, she directly addressed the “myth” about her daughter beating Burton with a lamp.

“I want the myth of her beating someone with a lamp completely gone, you know. And I think this film proves that, and all those awful headlines that were out there at the time, you know, don’t just believe everything you read about someone.”

Comedy series Benidorm quickly became a fan favourite when it first hit our screens back in 2007 as it aired for 74 episodes across 10 series on ITV until 2018

The Benidorm icons have reunited in a new heartwarming pic which has prompted calls for a reboot. The cast of the iconic comedy series have caused reboot rumours as they all got together for dinner seven years after the show’s axe.

The stars of the programme took to social media with a photo of them enjoying an evening out together. Fans were sent into a frenzy as they hoped this mean that Benidorm was making a come back.

Benidorm aired for 74 episodes across 10 series from 2007 to 2018 and viewers were gutted when it came to an end.

Rumours emerged back in April that the show could be getting a reboot but this is yet to be confirmed. However, rumours are back once again as actress Sherrie Hewson, who played Joyce Temple-Savage in the series, posted the picture of the group.

She smiled from ear to ear as she sat with creator of the show Derren Little, Jake Canuso, who played bar man Mateo and Danny Walters, who was Tiger Dyke.

Sherrie didn’t give anything away thought as she wrote alongside the photo: “The Team.” Fans instantly took to the comment section underneath to share their excitement.

One person said: “Don’t tease. Is it a sign?” While another wrote: “This is why we need Benidorm back and NOW.” Another added: This picture has put a smile on my face,” as a fourth asked: “Any mention of a New series of Benidorm in the meet up?”

Viewers are still hoping that Benidorm will be back again one say as The Sun previously reported that ITV bosses were in talks to reboot the show earlier this year.

A TV insider told the publication: “Benidorm was adored by millions when it was suddenly cancelled. Fans will be thrilled to hear ITV wants to bring it back.

“An 11th series hasn’t been commissioned yet, but there’s major excitement building as early talks begin. Producers have started to reach out to the show’s stars and are hopefully a decision can be made later this year.”

Benidorm was axed from out TVs in May 2018 after 11 years on our screens. Announcing the news on social media that it had come to an end, Derren said: “Crazy to think Wednesday will be the last episode of Benidorm!

“I created the series over 11 years ago, wrote it, guest starred in it and ended up directing it. It’s difficult to think what else there is to do! Thank you for watching!”

A source said at the time: “Benidorm has been a huge success for ITV for a decade, but bosses feel it’s run its course.

“The ratings have started to drop off and a number of the fan favourites have left, so it just feels as though the time is right to let it go out while it’s still on a high. It has been ITV’s longest running comedy, which is a real achievement.”

Shoppers are ‘obsessed’ with classy Givenchy perfume that’s currently 50% off

The Givenchy L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge is currently on sale with a huge 50% off that sees it slashed from £118 to £59, with shoppers saying they’re ‘obsessed’ with it

The colder months are the perfect time to swap your usual sweet and floral perfumes for something a little spicier, and Givenchy’s L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge is the perfect pick. The scent is described as “smouldering and provocative”, making it a great choice for wearing in the evening, and has a combination of spicy and fruity notes that are ideal for a winter perfume.

Although the fragrance is usually priced at £118 for an 80ml bottle, LookFantastic has included it in its major beauty sale right now, slashing the price by a huge 50%. That means you can nab the bottle for just £59, making it cheaper than the 50ml bottle which is discounted from £96 to £72, and only fractionally pricier than the 30ml bottle, which is now £51.75 down from £69.

The discounted fragrance joins the likes of other warm and spicy perfumes which are currently on sale elsewhere, such as the Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb Tiger Lily which is now £48.50 down from £97 for a 50ml bottle at Boots. You could also pick up the Fenty Eau de Parfum at Sephora, where the 75ml bottle is now £97.75 down from £115, whilst the 50ml bottle is slashed from £65 to £55.25.

However the Givenchy L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge is the perfect scent for the colder winter months, with a mixture of fruity, spicy and floral notes that have a slightly festive feel. The top notes include blood orange and red spice, with heart notes of orange blossom and jasmine, whilst the base notes are sandalwood and patchouli.

The Givenchy perfume also has an impressive 4.8 star rating out of five on the LookFantastic website, with one customer saying: “I’ve become obsessed with this range of perfumes and this one is gorgeous. Really sexy yet classy, not overpowering but lasts all day. A nice day to night perfume.”

Another agreed: “Amazing fragrance. This is a top pick for me. Smells amazing. Really sexy smell. And all time fave.”

There’s currently only one review which isn’t five stars, with one less happy shopper giving it two stars and writing: “Tried this perfume in the shop and I loved the flagrance. I tried to look a bit more into reviews and everyone said it’s lasting long. This is not true at all unfortunately. No matter how much you spray it doesn’t last longer than 2 hours. Most of the perfumes I have I can still smell them on my clothes after a whole shift at work. But with this one it seems that I have to take the bottle to me and spray it. Such a shame as this is quite pricey and a nice flagrance but it simply doesn’t last.”

However, others disagreed about the longevity of the Givenchy L’Interdit Eau de Parfum Rouge . One wrote: “Absolutely love this perfume. Got it in a sample and had to buy the bottle. It’s such a sexy scent. One of my faves. It does last but I think if you get used to it you can’t smell it on yourself but it does last.”

Whilst another said: “Smells absolutely gorgeous and the longevity is insane, I can still smell it 8 hours later.” And a third agreed: “The longevity on this perfume is insane, smells absolutely amazing.”

Celebrity Traitors’ Alan Carr issued warning after breaking down during show final

Alan Carr was comforted by Nick Mohammed and David Olusoga as he broke down in tears, after winning the first series of Celebrity Traitors

Alan Carr has received a warning from The Traitors champion Harry Clark, following his victory on the celebrity version of the programme. On Thursday evening, the comedian secured the £87,000 prize for his chosen charity after the faithfuls failed to identify him as a traitor.

The 49-year-old made it to the final three with faithfuls David Olusoga and Nick Mohammed, who together eliminated Joe Marler in an unexpected twist.

After the trio chose to conclude the game following Joe and Cat Burns’ elimination, they each disclosed their true identities.

While finally confessing to being a traitor, Alan broke down in tears as he admitted the role had been “tearing [him] apart”.

He proceeded to apologise to his fellow Celebrity Traitors co-stars, who consoled him during the emotional scene.

Reflecting on his win, Harry, from series two, warned Alan to “be prepared” for what happens next.

Chatting on Heart Breakfast with Jamie Theakston and Amanda Holden, he explained: “I think the only people that trusted me [after winning] was my family and everyone still has that, ‘Oh, I don’t know if I can trust you because of what I’ve seen you do’.

“But then again, Alan was telling the truth, like even when he said he was a faithful he was laughing.

“So, he might get away with it a little bit more than me, but he should be prepared for people not believing a word he says from now on.”

Harry went on to say he wasn’t taken aback by Alan’s emotional reveal, adding: “No not at all, I think once you’re there, you really understand it, the show is completely different when you’re there.”

“At the end of the day it’s a game, and he’s also raised a lot of money for his own charity, he should be very proud of himself.”

The 24-year-old further commented that Alan’s tears “just shows how much of a good person he is”. During the game show, Alan shockingly “murdered” his friend Paloma Faith in plain sight as part of a challenge.

Following her departure, the singer confessed to feeling “humiliated” and “embarrassed” about being the first to leave. She revealed on The One Show: “My four-year-old woke up next to me and she just shook me and she went, ‘Mama, I don’t like Alan anymore he can’t come to our house’.”

She continued: “She was like ‘You can’t invite him to our house again’. I was like ‘Oh God’, she shared, before adding: “He was the only one that my kids have met and they’re like ‘Mummy’s friend’.”

Last night, Alan and Paloma had a face-to-face discussion about the incident that strained their friendship. Speaking alongside Ed Gamble in front of their co-stars, Alan admitted: “I’m a fan of her music, I’ve been a fan of hers for ages. We are friends, we go on each other’s podcasts. It absolutely really hurt, it really did.”

Paloma responded: “Observing tonight and going through my whole plethora of hormonal emotions, the reason why Alan won and the reason why I was so sad was because we all love him so much.

M&S Christmas fallout as White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood ‘dropped’ despite huge fee

White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood will no longer front the Marks & Spencer Christmas advert despite being involved in the promotional clip in August

Aimee Lou Wood has been ‘dropped by M&S’, according to reports. The White Lotus star was set to be the face of the new Marks and Spencer Christmas advert, but appears to have been cut from the production.

The claim comes after the retail giants are said to have initially wooed the 31-year-old actress with a huge fee. Any appearance would have seen her follow the likes of Hannah Waddingham and Sophie Ellis-Bextor in featuring in the festive fun.

However, despite appearing in the promo clip in August, Aimee is thought to have been removed by the brand who have reportedly chosen to go in a different direction.

A spokesperson for M&S told Mail Online: “We really enjoyed working with Aimee Lou Wood during the early stages of this year’s Christmas campaign – she brought great energy and creativity to the process.

“As the campaign evolved, we started to embed a new product-focused strategy under new leadership. So, rather than a single-hero advert, the campaign was reshaped around a series of festive films and influencer content-drops aligned to key seasonal shopping moments – from gifting and hosting to partywear – delivered through a social-first, multi-channel approach across social media, digital, out-of-home and print.”

It could be seen as a blow for the Stockport-born actress. However, after finding fame in Netflix’s comedy drama Sex Education, she has continued to go from strength to strength before the M&S dropping.

She also portrayed Chelsea in the third series of the Sky Atlantic drama last year. It’s thought she had signed a deal to lead the M&S ad in the summer. But with a change in direction, comes new faces.

It comes as the eagerly anticipated John Lewis advert received a mixed response. It was attempting to pull at the heartstrings with its latest offering that focuses on a father and son struggling to find the words to say how much they care about each other.

That all changes when Dad finds a present addressed to him while packing away the wrapping paper for another year on Christmas morning. This year the famous advert is soundtracked by 90s dance icon Alison Limerick’s hit Where Love Lives, with a newly reimagined version by globally acclaimed artist and producer Labrinth also featuring.

However, while some shed a tear, others blasted the production as “Depressing, boring and not very Christmassy!”

“Just seen the John Lewis Christmas advert,” one user wrote on Twitter/X. “Thought it was dull, depressing, boring and not very Christmassy,”

Another posted on the platform: “The John Lewis Christmas Advert is TERRIBLE!!! What a bunch of nonsense. Unimaginative, unfestive, rubbish. Bring back Moz the Monster or Edgar the Dragon!! #JohnLewisChristmasAdvert #JohnLewis #Rubbish.”

A third was left conflicted, writing: “John Lewis ad 2025 – I’m not sure, it’s underlying message of father son communication is great, but it’s portrayed in such a dark way, you don’t know what’s happening, it’s very vague, and not very festive at all, bordering on depressing even!”
