Victoria Beckham finally acknowledges Lady title after David’s knighthood

Lady Victoria Beckham has finally addressed her new title just weeks after her footballing icon husband David was officially made a Sir by King Charles

Victoria Beckham OBE has finally called herself “Lady Beckham”. The Spice Girls icon has a new title to use after her husband David was knighted by King Charles last month.

After being made a Sir, Victoria, who turned her back on singing to focus on her fashion brand, also received a new title. As David now goes by Sir, his wife is also entitled to be styled Lady Beckham. Until now, Victoria, 51, has remained tight-lipped and hasn’t used her title publicly.

But during an appearance on What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, she was asked by the host about how she should be addressed. Speaking to the former singer, Andy said: “Victoria, clear this up for me, if you will. David Beckham, your husband – smokeshow – is now a knight, which means he is Sir David Beckham.”

“He is,” replied Victoria. Broadcaster Andy added: “And you are, Lady Victoria?” Confirming her title, Posh Spice said: “I am Lady Beckham.” But when asked if she could be known as Lady Posh – a nod to her Spice Girls persona, she joked: “Listen, whatever you want – whatever you want, anything for you.”

While the title Lady is automatically granted to the wife of a knight, it’s up to the person whether they decide to use it. So far, Victoria hasn’t changed any of her social media profiles to reflect her status.

Sir David was honoured by the King at Windsor Castle last month as his wife, Lady Victoria, and his parents, Sandra and Ted, watched on in awe during the emotional moment. Just hours later, the Beckham family celebrated with their children, Romeo, Cruz and Harper, with David joking they could call him “Sir Dad”.

Shortly after the ceremony, the family headed out to a reception hosted by pal Gordon Ramsay. However, their eldest son, Brooklyn, was once again noticeably absent from the events. In recent years, the family and Brooklyn have endured a strained relationship.

Celebrating her husband on the day, Lady Victoria said: “David, from the moment I met you 28 years ago, you’ve always been so proud to represent your country. Whether on or off the pitch, no one loves England or respects our Royal Family more, so to see you honoured by The King today is something I’ll forever cherish.

“You’ve achieved so much, and yet you’re still the same kind, humble, hardworking man I met nearly 30 years ago, as well as the most amazing husband and father.

“I’ve never felt prouder than I do today. Sir @davidbeckham, we all love you so much.” David and Victoria’s famous friends instantly rushed to offer their congratulations. Kris Jenner penned on Instagram: “Congratulations!!!” Actress Gemma Oaten added: “Beautiful and so deserved. Keep leading the way you power couple – but more than that – you kind, good-hearted humans.”

“So well deserved!! Congratulations,” said Donatella Versace. David said his knighthood was the “proudest moment” of his career, 30 years after he made his debut for Manchester United. Over the years, he’s backed a string of charity causes, as well as being a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF since 2005. Just last year, he was named as an ambassador of The King’s Foundation, an educational charity launched by Charles in 1990.

Speaking at Windsor Castle, he said: “All the things that I do, I do out of love. I don’t do it because I’m forced to do it, I don’t do it because I have to do it, I do it because it’s important, because I think there’ll always be something to do. I do believe that my work will never stop. I enjoy work. I got brought up with the right values to have respect for people and that will continue.”

‘Aldi refused to sell me popcorn for reason you’d least expect’

A woman couldn’t believe what she was hearing when an Aldi staff member said that she’d have to check with her manager whether she could sell her the bags of popcorn she wanted

A woman was left dumbfounded when she was told she wasn’t allowed to buy popcorn at her local Aldi for a baffling reason. Holly, who posts on TikTok as @holly_mum2three, asked her followers whether she was in the wrong or whether the supermarket was at fault for not selling her the snacks for her son’s Christmas movie night.

“I always try to help out at as many PTA (parent teacher association) events as I can, and my role for the last couple of years at this event is to be in charge of making popcorn bags for the kids,” Holly explained. She said she’d gone to Aldi to buy 45 share bags of popcorn so she could put together 200 individual bags for all the kids.

She explained there were only 44 bags of popcorn available at the store, but she was going to wing it and hope it would be enough. When she went to the till she handed the member of staff one of the bags, telling her she had 44.

She said: “I fully expected her to say she needed to count them,” which she was happy for her to do. However, instead, she was left floored when the woman at the till said she was going to have to check whether she was allowed to sell that many bags of popcorn at once.

After a back and forth with her manager, they came to the conclusion that they were not able to sell her 44 bags, and they’d only be able to let her buy 22.

“I was told it was because they didn’t have any more stock of the popcorn in the back, and therefore I couldn’t take it all,” Holly said.

“Now, I was left a little bit confused by that because one, I thought the whole point of a shop was that you can go and buy stuff, is that not what a shop is for?

“And two, if I went into Aldi and I only needed one bag of popcorn and there was one bag of popcorn on the shelves, and they didn’t have any others in stock, would they refuse to sell me that one bag of popcorn because they didn’t have any more stock?

“I don’t think they would.”

In the comments, someone wrote: “The reason is that Aldi is not a wholesaler, therefore does not sell in bulk. Aldi wants all of their products to be available to all customers who enter their shops.

“If you buy those 44 bags, they won’t be able to have that stock back on sale for two days, because they order their stock two days in advance of their deliveries. Aldi stores are happy to order the amount of stock you need, if you go in two days prior for them to order it in for you”.

Another suggested Holly should have gone in and bought the other 22 bags in a separate transaction and at a different till.

But others reckoned it was a “good business decision” not to allow her to buy all of the popcorn bags, even though she had a good reason.

Rob Reiner’s son ‘on suicide watch’ in prison as he could face death penalty

Nick Reiner, the son of Rob and Michele, has reportedly been placed on suicide watch in his Downtown Los Angeles prison after being charged with the murders of his parents

Rob Reiner’s son has reportedly been placed on suicide watch. Nick Reiner, 32, is currently being held in Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Downtown Los Angeles after he was charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

On Tuesday night, it was announced by Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman that Nick was being charged after his parents were found dead at their home in Brentwood. They’d had their throats slit during the gruesome murder. He also faces an allegation of using dangerous and deadly weapon.

But according to reports, Nick, who wasn’t medically cleared to appear in court yesterday. The son of the murdered couple has been placed on suicide watch in prison. Sources claim he’s now under the “supervision of the jail mental evaluation team”.

The Daily Mail reported that he is now being housed in an area for prisoners who have “suicidal ideation.” Meanwhile, the Los Angeles Police Department are still gathering evidence for the case. Police have said that they believe Rob and his wife, Michele, died as a result of stab wounds.

However, they have yet to determine a motive for the double murder. Just hours before Rob and Michele were found, Nick allegedly became involved in an argument with his dad at a Christmas party hosted by Conan O’Brien. It’s claimed that Nick wandered around the party “interrupting” conversations to ask who the attendees were and if they were “famous”.

Local media reports that many in attendance had begun questioning whether the man, Nick, standing at 6 feet 3, had wandered in from the streets, unaware his parents had been invited. He hadn’t been invited but attended with his parents who were said to be concerned about his behaviour should he be left alone at home.

He is believed to have checked into the Pierside Santa Monica at 4am, and staff reportedly discovered the shower “full of blood,” as well as a trail leading from his bed and bedsheets. His parents were discovered less than 11 hours later by their daughter, Romy, at 3:30pm.

Nick was arrested on Sunday at 21:15 local time and booked on Monday morning. The Los Angeles Fire Department were called to the home in Brentwood to offer medical aid at 3:30pm local time on Sunday and found a man, 78, and a woman, 68.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, Hochman said: “I’m here to announce that our office will be filing charges against Nick Reiner accused of killing his parents. These charges will be two counts of first degree murder with a special circumstance of multiple murders. He also faces a special allegation that he personally used a dangerous and deadly weapon, that being a knife.

“These charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison. No decision at this point has been made with the respect to the death penalty. Nick Reiner is being held without bail. I want to announce these are just charges. Charges are not evidence. Evidence is something that will be presenting in a court of law.”

A spokesperson for the Reiner family said: “It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time.”

Comedian Katherine Ryan undergoes secret surgery two months after giving birth

Mock The Week star, Katherine Ryan, gave birth to her fourth child, Holland, two months ago and has already gone under the knife for some ‘serious’ cosmetic surgery

Katherine Ryan has revealed she’s undergone some “pretty serious surgery” just two months after giving birth to her fourth child.

The Mock The Week star, 42, who welcomed daughter, Holland Juliette, in October, is open about the cosmetic work she’s had done, having previously revealed she had a breast augmentation as well as well as various facial ‘tweakments’, including Botox and fillers.

Lifting the lid on her recent trip for some more nip/tuck, the comedian revealed she’d found an ‘incredible’ surgeon in York, who Katherine shared is “my ethnicity”. And while she didn’t go into detail about what exactly she’d had done – hinting she will make a ‘mini docuseries’ about it – the Canadian did say she was very impressed.

Talking on her latest podcast, Telling Everybody Everything, she shared: “This is controversial but he is my ethnicity”, noting that “a lot of Asian or Persian doctors who have this idea of this aesthetic”, which she didn’t want.

Katherine continued: “Take Dr. Simon Ourian, for example. He is the Beverley Hills injectables skin guy,” Katherine said. “He doesn’t do surgery, that I know of, but he’s the guy who appears sometimes in The Kardashians, and he does their injections.

“He’s really talented, but I went to see him probably ten years ago… And I felt like I walked out of there looking a little more Kim Kardashian.”

Saying she wants to enhance her own features, rather than trying to look like someone else, Katherine said: “We need to stick as closely as possible to what mother nature intended. I have really delicate features – I have a long face, I have a really narrow jawline,.

“I was not ever meant to have the Kylie Jenner heart-shaped jawline and these big Persian eyes. That was never going to work for me.” Praising her new doctor, who lives in York, she continued: “This guy in York is like of a British, Irish background, his beautiful wife is Irish, and I want to look like her. So I was like, I think this guy gets me… I think he gets what I’m going for.”

Katherine said she was impressed by the surgeon’s before and after photos as she stressed the importance of knowing someone who has already been a client.

The mum-of-four continued: “He did some procedures on one of my friends who is so beautiful and youngish to be getting surgery, and I just loved his before and after gallery.

“It really matters, I think, to know someone real and to be able to see how their face moves, talk to them. You knew what they looked like before, you know what they look like after. That, to me, historically, has always been the push to get surgery.”

Katherine was accompanied to the surgery, which took three and half hours, by her husband, Bobby Kootstra, and their baby Holland. Revealing why she took the two-month old with her, the stand-up star said: “I elected to take the baby with me because she just turned eight weeks that day. I’m still breastfeeding her, obviously, and I will be for a long time.

“You can’t breastfeed immediately after surgery, but I could obviously spend the night with her before and breastfeed her then, pump milk for the maternity nurse that I had, and then breastfeed her shortly thereafter and go home with her.”

Teasing her big reveal once she has healed, the Your Face Or Mine star concluded: “I was thinking to myself after I got the surgery – which, wait till you see it, is pretty serious surgery – I was like, Katherine Ryan, what is your damage?”
