She said, “It’s just time for me to say thank you so much for listening on Saturday afternoons, in a heartfelt finale radio show this afternoon, where she welcomed a number of guests including Ricky Gervais, Joel Dommett, and Angela Hartnett. When Emma Willis arrives with you in the new year, don’t forget to take care of her.

Before signing off with “Merry Christmas, love ya!” before Chris Rea’s Driving Home For Christmas, the final song, she said, “Huge respect” to her listeners for their support.

Presenter Zoe made the announcement while on air last weekend that she would no longer host her BBC Radio 2 Saturday show. Zoe made it known that Emma Willis, who she called “superwoman,” would take her place. Zoe will continue to host special programs for the station despite quitting her regular hosting position.

Before her final performance, Zoe was pictured arriving at BBC Studios this morning in high spirits. Before hopping onto the airwaves for the last time, she beamed as she posed for photos with the outside fans.

Zoe opened the show for the final time today, and Zoe acknowledged that “there would be tears” before making reference to another BBC departure that was occurring today. Tess and Claud’s final performance, she said, “Oh, they’ll be tears tonight, girls, hold on, it’s going to be amazing.” Who will win, in your opinion? By the way, “Hello,” before Slade’s Merry Xmas Everybody.

I have loved being with my dear friends Romesh (Ranganathan) and Rylan (Clark), and I know I love you all the same, but I’m not going away completely, she said in a news release last week.

“It’ll be Christmas Crooners, of course, and I’ll be doing an eras show in the new year. More on that later. However, I’m happy to inform you that you will be in the best of hands because a superwoman is already familiar with you all, but that also means that she will be able to join the Radio 2 family.
