Zhou Guanyu, a Chinese driver, will drive for the Cadillac team’s first season in 2026.

After three seasons of racing for the Alfa Romeo-branded Sauber team from 2022 to 2024, the 26-year-old spent last year as a reserve driver for Ferrari.

Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez, who are both returning to the grid in 2026 after missing the sport last year, will have Zhou’s support. Bottas worked for Zhou at Alfa Romeo.

One of the biggest and most exciting new projects the sport has ever seen, said Zhou, who is led by Cadillac team principal Graeme Lowdon.

I’ve worked with Graeme and Valtteri in various capacities for many years, so joining the team feels like a family reunion.

We sought candidates with recent F1 driving experience, teamwork skills, and an understanding of the difficulties of developing cars throughout the season, according to Lowdon. Zhou perfectly fills the role. As we compete in 2026, he will be a great asset to us.
