Residents of the Fegin Mahe community, which is located in the Ruwan-Bore ward of Zamfara State, have peacefully protested at the government building in Gusau to express their frustration with the state’s worsening security situation.
The visible aggrieved residents who turned out in large numbers wore placards pleading for urgent action from the state government to stop the bandits’ constant attacks, which have left their community fearful and depressed.
They lamented that Fegin Mahe’s entire community is vulnerable to repeated attacks and criminal activity because no single security operative is currently stationed there.

After what they called months of silence and inaction, the protesters claimed that their last resort was to go to the government building.
A resident of the area stressed the need for security personnel to be immediately deployed while speaking to Channels Television.
They claimed that law enforcement presence would prevent additional attacks and bring peace to the troubled region.
