Prince William’s superstitious support for Aston Villa made public on Friday, revealing that he frequently arranges his children’s stowages around his home to give the team a run for their money.

King Charles III, the country’s monarch,’s 42-year-old eldest son and heir, also admitted to frequently posting his football opinions in secret on fan forums.

He told The Sun, “I probably don’t have the pre-match pint but I do have a little superstition about where I sit when I watch them” when I was at home alone with the kids.

“I start moving around the house quite quickly and placing the children in various positions hoping that will change our luck,” said one parent.

On Wednesday, William watched Unai Emery’s team advance to the Champions League quarter-finals by defeating Club Brugge 3-0 to seal a 6-1 overall win.

He claimed that after being introduced to football by his family friends when he was younger, he started to support the Birmingham-based club.

I just felt like I belonged there because of the camaraderie among the fans, the chanting, and the singing, he said.

He became even more invested in the rise of the smartphone.

He claimed for The Sun, “I’d grown up looking at Ceefax on the television or the back pages of newspapers and you’d be a little out of the loop if you didn’t have those on hand.”
