Ipswich Town’s Nathan Broadhead has been signed by Wrexham for a club record fee.
The 27-year-old from Bangor helped Ipswich return to the Championship with two goals in 18 Premier League games last year.
Broadhead has a year left on his Tractor Boys contract, which includes two goals in 14 international games for Wales.
Between loan spells at Burton Albion, Sunderland, and Wigan, Broadhead made one Premier League appearance before beginning his career with Everton.
In 2022, the Wales striker scored eight goals to help the Suffolk side clinch promotion to the Championship.
The following season saw the club’s return to the Premier League with 13 goals.
On his international debut against Croatia, he also had a big impact, scoring a stunning last-minute equalizer.
In a friendly against Gibraltar, he also scored for Wales at what he might call his new home, the Stok Racecourse.
Following Danny Ward, Ryan Hardie, Liberato Cacace, George Tomason, Josh Windass, and O’Brien’s moves to north Wales, Broadhead would become Wrexham’s seventh summer signing.
