Matt Weston of Great Britain won the gold medal in Sigulda, Latvia, while Marcus Wyatt of compatriots came in second.
Amelia Coltman won a hat-trick of medals in the women’s race later on Friday, adding a bronze medal to the British team’s record.
Weston, 28, won the 2025-26 season’s first three men’s races, while Wyatt’s silver medal was his first individual victory of the season.
Weston, a two-time world champion, came in at the end of the second-place finish with a time of one minute 40.35 seconds behind Wyatt, who was 0.85 seconds behind. Germany’s Felix Keisinger finished the podium just 0.03 seconds after the silver medalist.
Weston’s victory places him 107 points clear of Zheng Yin, who is currently the world’s top player, in the world rankings. Yin is currently 62 points clear of Wyatt in sixth place.
Coltman won her second World Cup medal of her career after winning gold in PyeongChang last year, behind Belgium’s Kim Meylemans and Czech Republic’s Anna Fernstadt, who finished third.
