Country music fans who went to Riley Green’s concert in Scotland this week cannot get over what happened when one meet-and-greet ticket holder was brought on stage unexpectedly
Sometimes you simply have to seize the moment when chance presents itself, and one woman stunned crowds in Glasgow this weekend as country star Riley Green invited her onto the stage during one of his concerts. The performer appeared at the O2 Academy in Glasgow on Tuesday this week as part of his Damn Country Music Tour.
Riley has been inviting audience members on stage to perform Ella Langley’s vocals in the cherished track Look Like You Love Me – and some have been genuinely impressive, including one local lass.
Make-up artist Jordan described it as a “dream come true” to share the stage with her favourite country artist. A clip posted on TikTok captured her performance where she appeared completely at ease alongside the star whilst sporting a country ensemble and cowboy boots.
One gig-goer posted footage of the incredible moment and commented: “Riley Green and a fan from meet and greet (who was amazing ) in Glasgow.”
Viewers flocked to respond, with one person declaring: “She’s the best so far,” whilst another concurred: “She did great, I like her outfit.”
Another admirer penned: “You know what? Hell yeah. I love this for this complete stranger. You go girl.”
Whilst one more added: “You smashed it! I didn’t realise you were a fan! I thought you were part of a band.”
Others reckoned the pair resembled a romantic couple. “I would definitely think we were boyfriend and girlfriend after that,” one remarked.
“He’s definitely going to be thinking about her,” another insisted. Jordan says she remains “still on a high” from the evening.
In a clip posted to her personal TikTok account, she revealed that she’d purchased tickets to the gig roughly nine months earlier, and had noticed that he’d previously invited other women onstage to cover for Ella.
She admitted she desperately wanted to get onstage and “manifested it happening”.
She acknowledged that whilst she’s not chasing a professional career or anything of that nature, she explained singing remains a passion of hers and she reckoned it would create an incredible experience.
Jordan revealed she’d planned to enquire at the entrance queue whether she could be considered for selection to perform onstage, though she recognised that loads of other punters would probably be making the same request.
Following her encounter with Riley, she described him as “very tall” and “very handsome”.
Jordan was questioned about which track she’d prefer to perform onstage, handed over her contact information and was told she might be selected. But to her amazement, she was picked to take the stage.
She confessed her mouth felt “dry as hell” due to nerves before going onstage and that she ‘had to have a word with herself’. “When is this going to happen again? ,” Jordan remarked.
Jordan continued: “I had the best time. It’s really hard to hear so I couldn’t hear myself loads. Lights were so bright so it was kind of hard to see people until they changed.
“I just thought you’ve just got to do it, you’ve just got to go for it. I love singing so much and this is a dream come true.”
