Kyren Wilson of England put an end to Zhao Xintong’s 26-match winning streak and gave way to Ali Carter’s Shanghai Masters final.
Zhao has a 26-match winning streak that included the Crucible Championships in May after losing to Shaun Murphy at the UK Championships in November.
However, Zhao surrendered a 5-4 lead in the evening session to Wilson, who won six frames straight for a 10-5 victory in his first tournament since his triumph in Sheffield.
The 33-year-old produced breaks of 70, 101, and 51 during the second half of a strong performance.
In the final, Wilson will face fellow Englishman Carter, who defeated Judd Trump for his first major career title, in a match that he defeated in the semi-finals.
In the other semi-final, Carter defeated Mark Selby 10-6 to reach the final. Mark Allen withdrew at the end of the tournament for personal reasons.
