Big Brother presenter Will Best has now explained the mistake he made after asking the crucial question to his long-term partner Tobi Rose last year.
Will Best has revealed that it was a “mistake” proposing to his long-term girlfriend while they were on a romantic holiday last summer.
Last July, the Big Brother presenter, 40, finally popped the question and proposed to his girlfriend of over a decade, stylist Tobi Rose. The TV star, who co-hosts the ITV reality TV show alongside AJ Odudu, got down on one knee to propose to his future wife during a romantic trip abroad and said at the time that he couldn’t wait to “celebrate making it down the aisle”.
Will, who first gained fame co-hosting TV show T4 before landing the Big Brother gig last year, took Tobi on a romantic trip to Italy and proposed in the stunning setting of Tuscany.
A friend who is close to Will said at the time of their engagement that “Will and Tobi are finally engaged” had been a long time coming. They continued, “Naturaly, they are both thrilled and looking forward to celebrating their aisle exit.”
Will has now admitted that, in the grand scheme of things, proposing while on vacation with Tobi wasn’t the best idea despite the romantic gesture. One year after the romantic engagement, the TV star revealed that he and his future wife have not even begun making wedding plans.
However, Will has revealed that his other half is completely committed to getting married in Italy after asking the question to Tobi in Tuscany.
Will jokingly explained why his engagement might have been a mistake: “It was lovely. It was very nice. The only issue is that my fiancee is currently saying, “Oh, let’s get married in Tuscany too.” He told Mail Online, “But that just sounds expensive.”
After dating the TV star for more than ten years, Tobi isn’t in a rush to say his “I dos” when Will is getting ready to say his.
Will joked that he had previously told Tobi about a segment he did while working on Hits Radio while speaking in the new interview. After getting engaged, Will and his team spoke with a number of couples who had been waiting for years before getting married. Even a staggering 32 years after their engagement, one couple waited.
Will also acknowledged that he and Tobi didn’t take their first vacation abroad until 11 years into their relationship because he’s the type of person who likes things go slowly.
Because we are both freelancers, we had spent ten years without a proper holiday, and every time I booked a vacation, work would come up or something would break, he revealed.
“So we would take a sporadic, brief break, which is still wonderful, but your lengthy, fully unplugged vacation, which required us to take. Additionally, because I work a lot, it’s always felt like my travel itch is getting scratched constantly, and she travels a lot with work, like taking photos of shoots abroad for weeks at once.
Will prefers to keep his private life a secret, but he has also shared some hints about their relationship on social media. He and Tobi both have adorable pet dogs and beautiful homes. The couple has not yet given birth to a child.
Will shared a stunning photo of the two of them observing the significant milestone on one of their anniversaries and expressed his gratitude to Tobi.
At the time, he penned: “Twelve years ago today I met this truly one in a 7.88 billion human being. She was even my first ever Instagram post.
