Love Island All Stars viewers were stunned as Scott van-der-Sluis made his explosive return to the villa
Love Island All Stars made a spectacular return this week, with the villa immediately shaken up by a dramatic bombshell arrival.
The third series of All Stars finally hit ITV2 screens last night (January 15) following delays caused by wildfires in the vicinity of the South African villa. Presenter Maya Jama once again welcomed back recognisable faces from the programme’s decade-long history, all seeking another shot at romance.
No sooner had the contestants readjusted to villa life than a major curveball arrived in the shape of Love Island’s Scott van-der-Sluis, who stormed back onto screens as a bombshell entry. Host Maya herself described it as a “spicy entrance” as Scott declared that fellow Islander Sean was “one of the worst Islanders” he’d witnessed.
Sean hit back: “How many finals did you make?” with Scott countering: “How many shows have I been on?”
In a savage outburst, Scott, who insisted he was “just being honest”, went on to claim Sean was “so far up Joey’s a***”, leaving presenter Maya and the other contestants gobsmacked, reports OK!
But who exactly is Scott van-der-Sluis? Here’s the lowdown on the controversial star.
Who is Scott van-der-Sluis?
Scott van-der-Sluis made his debut during series 10 of the popular ITV2 romance show. Following his departure, he jetted off for Love Island USA and has also competed in Love Island Games.
Now he’s returned to stir things up, and viewers flocked to social media to voice their reactions. Series 12 contestant Yasmin Pettet declared: “THIS IS THE CHAOS I WANT.”
One viewer echoed the sentiment, writing: “FINALLY SOMETHING TO WATCH.”
Another chimed in: “He did way too much but like we needed the entertainment that episode was boring.”
Discussing his motivation for returning to the villa, Scott revealed to ITV: “Since my time on Love Island 10, I think I’ve been on a journey for the last two and half years and I’ve always had in my head that All Stars is the final chapter of that journey.
“That’s all I’m missing so it would be nice to find something real and find someone to care about.”
The reality star vowed he will “not hold back” during his stint in the villa, determined to “stamp my authority”, explaining: “I came across very maturely last time but I still felt like a little boy at times, surrounded by older people.
“I feel like I’m now one of those people that can go in as an adult in their mid twenties who knows more about what they want in life compared to the 22-year-old me.”
Love Island isn’t Scott’s only brush with reality TV fame, as viewers might also clock him from Netflix’s Perfect Match Season 3, as well as his appearance on the Boyfriend Material with Harry Jowsey podcast.
Scott’s connection with a fellow All Stars Islander
Scott seems to share a bond with Whitney, another Islander who made waves on Series 10 of the dating programme when she entered as a bombshell and finished as runner-up alongside her then-partner Lochan Nowacki. Beyond the series, Scott and Whitney have been creating numerous TikTok videos as a duo, with supporters celebrating their bond.
Racking up hundreds of thousands of likes, one viewer remarked beneath a clip: “Soooo Whitney before I get excited sista WHATS GOING AWNNNN.”
Another responded: “He is her soulmate they will be in each other lives forever WATCH.”
