On Friday night, England and Scotland will be able to find out who will play in the World Cup, but it might be a while before they can decide which matches will be played.
The three host countries, which include Groups A (Mexico), B (Canada), and D (US), are the only exceptions. Scotland will be able to find out the stadiums they will play in if they join one of these groups, but not the kick-off times.
You will only be able to find out the date and the order of the matches for all other teams, including England’s. The city in which the game will be played has a 50/50 chance.
So, depending on the group, where could England and Scotland travel? What possible drawbacks exist between the dreams and the horrors? How do you obtain tickets, too?
When will the kick-off locations and times be announced?
The match schedule will be revealed live on Fifa’s global broadcast on Saturday, December 6 at 17:00 GMT (12:00 local time).
Legends of the game will perform on stage to discuss the crucial matches, including Fifa president Gianni Infantino.
Fans of England will undoubtedly have to wait until Saturday to reserve flights.
What venues will host the games?
With one of the co-hosts, England is aware that they cannot join Group A, Group B, or Group D.
But when the draw begins, Scotland has a wide range of options open to them.
How much travel is required, depending on which group you choose.
Only the United States, the only nation, has played Group C and Group K.
Other than for the co-hosts, all other events will involve cross-border travel.
Group A: Atlanta (US), Mexico City (Mexico), and Guadalajara, Monterrey (Mexico).
Group B: Seattle (US), Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Toronto (Canada).
Atlanta, Boston, Miami, New York/New Jersey, and Philadelphia (US) are Group C.
Group D includes Seattle (US), Los Angeles (Canada), San Francisco (Canada), and Los Angeles (US).
Group E: Philadelphia (US), Houston (Canada), New York/New Jersey, and Toronto (Canada).
Group F: Dallas, Houston, and US cities of Monterrey (Mexico), Mexico.
Group G: Seattle (US), Los Angeles (Canada), and Vancouver (Canada).
Guadalajara (Mexico), Atlanta (USA), Houston (Mexico), and Miami (US) are in Group H.
Group I: Philadelphia (US), Boston (Canada), New York/New Jersey (Canada), and Boston (Canada).
Group J: San Francisco (US) and Dallas, Kansas (US)
Group K: Guadalajara, Mexico City (Mexico), Atlanta, Houston, and Miami (USA)

England’s best and worst draw?
The potential opponents’ opinions are largely subjective here.
Australia would likely be selected from pot two, but that would force England to select Australia from pot three and four. We therefore chose Austria because they placed Bosnia-Herzegovina and Romania ahead of a very average qualifying group.
From the first round, Qatar or Uzbekistan, who is playing in the World Cup, would be in favor.
Only the play-off paths of DR Congo/Jamaica/New Caledonia and Cape Verde, Ghana, Curacao, Haiti, New Zealand, and that would leave only a select few options from the pot four. The choice is likely to be Cuba or Haiti.
Best draw: Haiti, Austria, Uzbekistan, and England.
Worst case in the world, England has never defeated Uruguay in three previous World Cup encounters, losing 2-1 to them in the 2014 finals.
In the pot three, Norway appears to be the strongest team, but a rekindled conflict with Scotland might be a test. However, Mohamed Salah’s Egypt should be the one to choose if we want to make the group that is the most challenging overall.
Then, from pot four, you could choose Italy, Wales, and Northern Ireland as the play-off candidates.
Worst draw: Egypt, Uruguay, and Uefa Play-off A.
Scotland’s best and worst draw?

Canada would be the host country if Scotland were to receive a host country. Belgium has been slipping from third place in the world rankings in June 2024 to eighth place out of the pot one qualifiers.
Australia might be the best draw from pot two, and New Zealand might be the best draw from pot four.
Best draw: New Zealand, Scotland, Australia, and Canada.
We’ll choose Argentina as the winner of the worst draw, but you can choose your own.
Morocco advanced to the 2022 semi-finals, which will shock Scotland fans. The Scots lost to the African nation 3-0 in their final World Cup game of 1998.
It must once more be the inter-confederation route, including Italy, Wales, and Northern Ireland, in pot four.
If Scotland is given a host nation, where will they play?
This is how the fixture list would look if Scotland and one of the co-hosts were drawn.
Their schedule would be:
Mexico City on June 11
A4 in Atlanta on June 18
A3 in Guadalupe on June 24
Their schedule would be:
B4 in Santa Clara on June 13th.
Canada meets in Vancouver on June 18.
Seattle B2 on June 24
If Scotland and the United States enter Group D, their schedule would be:
United States at Inglewood on June 12.
19 June: Santa Clara’s D4.
How to obtain World Cup tickets and what is the price.
More than 4.5 million fans entered a draw to win the first batch of tickets, which went on sale at the beginning of October.
Fans who successfully entered the draw online and spent hours in digital queues are now listing them online. Fifa has not officially released a full price list.
Tickets for the first game in the United States range from $560 (£417) to $2, 235 (£1, 662).
The cheapest ticket for the 2026 final costs $2, 030 (£1, 510), and the most expensive is $6, 000 (£4, 462). Meanwhile, tickets for Hospitality are not yet available for purchase, but they almost certainly will be significantly more expensive.
Some early-in-the-series tickets to games are available for $60 (£44), but stadium map images indicate that only a small portion of seats are available.
Fans will be able to apply for single-match tickets based on exact fixtures on December 11 and January 13 when the Random Selection Draw will close. Supporters will then be informed of their success.
Fans will be able to purchase any remaining inventory on a first-come, first served basis during a final-minute sales phase closer to the tournament.
Fifa is using a “dynamic” pricing structure for the tournament, which means that later ticket prices for matches with high demand may increase significantly.
How does the BBC offer the draw?
