Isak’s two goals on Sunday, while certainly not vintage, took him to 19 Premier League goals this season. His best season at the club will include three more.
The Sweden striker’s second goal against Forest was also his 50th in the Premier League, a tally achieved in just 76 top-flight games.
Only six players in the competition’s history have joined the 50 club quicker, which is testament to how good Isak has been.
“What he has done is amazing. Former England goalkeeper Joe Hart praised him for being one of the best strikers in the modern game, not just in the Premier League.
He always poses a threat because he scores all kinds of goals, and he is so fast and fit.
He has the fastest-to-fifth Premier League goals among all of the players on that list, which is part of what makes him so difficult to stop.
“I really like him because he doesn’t just look good in front of goal,” he said. He’s clinical of course, but he is a team player too.
” He’s a gem for Newcastle and at 25 he is still young, still hungry and he can still get even better. “
Erling Haaland – 48 games
Erling Haaland scored 12 goals in his next 12 matches before reaching the half-century mark after only 48 games, breaking the record for the most goals in a single Premier League season (36) with his first season with Manchester City.
Andy Cole – 65 games
Andy Cole broke the record while playing for Manchester United.
With a 9-0 win over Ipswich in March 1995, United defeated United 9-0, five goals apart, as the first team to have nine goals in a Premier League game.
In his 65th game, Cole had only scored five goals in his previous 19 league games, but his fifth of the afternoon saw him reach 50.
Alan Shearer – 66 games
The Premier League’s all-time leading scorer was quick out of the traps, so it shouldn’t surprise.
Alan Shearer scored the first 50 of his 260 Premier League goals in 66 games.
He reached 100 in just 124 games in the competition, which is 17 games quicker than any other centurion in Premier League history.
Ruud van Nistelrooy – 68 Games

Ruud van Nistelrooy comes in at fourth, taking 68 games to score 50 Premier League goals.
The Dutchman scored in the tenth successive Premier League game Van Nistelrooy scored in August 2003, making it his half-century.
Jamie Vardy of Leicester scored in 11 successive Premier League games in 2015, setting a new competition record.
Fernando Torres – 72 games
Fernando Torres’ first three Premier League campaigns were incredible, and he only managed 72 appearances to reach the 50-goal mark.
When he completed a £50m move to Chelsea in January 2011, he scored 65 goals in 102 league games.
Mohamed Salah – 72 games
In Liverpool’s 4-3 victory over Crystal Palace in January 2019, Mohamed Salah equaled Torres’ 72-game winning streak with two goals.
