Weston Gosa, the mother of Weston, passed away at the age of 16 in a heartbreaking post following the birth record from his MTV series 16 and Pregnant. Whitney Purvis has since devastatingly shared his tragic death.
16 and Pregnant star Whitney Purvis has shared the devastating news her son Weston Gosa Jr has died aged 16. The reality TV star, who documented her pregnancy on the hit MTV show, said her “worst nightmare has come true.”
In a social media post, she heartbreakingly revealed the passing of her devoted son. Weston and his off-offender Weston Sr. made their first appearance together in the MTV program in 2009.
Whitney said, “This is so difficult to write, especially with photos of herself and Weston. Weston, my gorgeous son, passed away. He was only sixteen years old.
Life is so unfair and cruel. Simply put, I don’t comprehend. Oh no, my baby is gone, and I’m not sure what to do.
He was so flawless, she continued. My worst nightmare ever came true, in fact. How do you continue living after having a child? This cannot possibly occur because I’m in shock. It should not be authentic, in my opinion.
“Just to hold him, I would do anything.” Words simply can’t adequately express the suffering I’m experiencing. Weston Owen Gosa, you and I are so special. I adore you dearly, God.
You are the heart of my life. You were a wonderful young man, I was so proud of you. Without you, I can’t continue. My angel, rest in peace. You leave too soon, friends. April 2, 2009 – June 2, 2025. “
Whitney continued to share a photo of her son with him, saying, “Remember, my baby Weston.” I will cherish you forever. I’ll never understand why life is so cruel. You’ll be my baby forever.
Weston’s cause of death was not disclosed by the TV star, but his stepmom has claimed that the family has ordered an autopsy on social media.
She stated in her post, “All we know is that we tried to wake him up this morning at 7 am, and we tried cpr, and we called an ambulance.”
He was taken to a hospital in Gordon County where he was later declared dead. He also had diabetes and a number of health issues.
We are shock and heartbroken. It was a surprise in disguise. I hope I never experience losing a child again, which is the most agonizing experience I’ve ever had.
He was the most amazing son I could have asked for, she continued. He had a lot of potential in life and was brilliant, intelligent, and funny. It doesn’t seem genuine at all.
As we grieve the incredible, amazing life our son had, please keep our family and Whitney in your thoughts and prayers. “Thank you.”
On April 2, 2009, Weston and Whitney welcomed their son. Before giving birth to their second son, River, in 2014, they broke up but rekindled their romance.
After the pair split up once more, Whitney has since lost custody of both of her children. She was detained in 2024 allegedly for allegedly not paying child support, according to TMZ.
