One of the lead singers in Westlife, Mark Feehily, also stated that he is considering a career break that will see him host three shows on Irish RTE Radio 1 each week.

Mark Feehily — one of the lead singers in Westlife — has addressed his health after he experienced sepsis.

The 45-year-old vocalist told fans he feels well enough to start his career comeback, having spent months in intensive care following the sepsis battle. Mark quit Westlife in 2024 amid the health scare, announcing he wasn’t going to join Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne on their 25th anniversary tour.

He is now making a comeback, as Ireland’s RTE Radio 1 is set to air a program three times each week. His programs will be available on the network, the country’s most popular radio station, on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.

Beginning in Aberdeen in September 2026, Westlife’s 25th anniversary celebration will continue until November. The band will also be able to entertain visitors from other countries, including those in Belgium, Holland, Norway, and Denmark.

Mark won’t be with the young men as he battles a chronic illness. The musician underwent routine surgery after being diagnosed with sepsis in 2020, but he later developed pneumonia. Since battling his initial illness, Mark has undergone four significant operations to address complications.
