Callum Wilson has been signed to a one-year contract with West Ham from former clubs Newcastle and Bournemouth.

The 33-year-old free agent left Newcastle last year after not agreeing a new deal.

The striker was sat behind Alexander Isak in the pecking order for only 18 Premier League appearances last term.

However, Wilson completed his medical on Saturday with the Hammers and accepted a season-long contract.

“I’m excited to be joining a sizable football team like West Ham,” Wilson said.

I’m happy to be a part of a club that has a passion for hard work, dedication, and success like mine.

“The squad has such talent,” he said. And of course, Graham Potter has arrived as the new manager, who is making everyone a team and working together to achieve the goal of finishing as high as possible in the league.

Wilson, who signed for Newcastle in a £20m deal from Bournemouth in 2020, scored 49 goals in 130 appearances between the 2018 and 2023 caps.

Before joining West Ham, he attracted the attention of other Premier League clubs and had options in Major League Soccer (MLS).
