West Ham and Forest charged by FA over melee

In the final moments of their Premier League meeting on Sunday, West Ham and Nottingham Forest were both accused of failing to exert control over their players.

In a melee that saw both players involved, both teams winning 2-1 at London Stadium to keep their hopes of qualifying for the Champions League of the following year.

West Ham’s Edson Alvarez and Carlos Soler were booked, and Murillo and Morato, Forest’s defensive backs, received yellow cards for their roles.

Due to a lengthy period of intermission, including a lengthy delay in determining whether Nikola Milenkovic’s winner was onside, the game lasted 112 minutes and 55 seconds.

The FA announced that Nottingham Forest and West Ham United have been charged with the massive altercation that occurred on May 18 at their Premier League game.

“It’s claimed that both clubs allegedly failed to make sure their players didn’t act inappropriately or provocatively around the 103rd minute.

By Friday, May 23, Nottingham Forest and West Ham United must respond.
