Belgium vs. Wales World Cup qualifier

Brussels’ King Baudouin Stadium Kickoff time: Monday, June 9:45 BST

After beating Liechtenstein to lead their World Cup qualifying group, head coach Craig Bellamy declared that Wales would launch an offensive in Belgium on Monday.

Wales’ nine-game unbeaten start under Bellamy was extended by Friday night’s 3-0 victory in Cardiff, which puts them two points clear of Group J at the top.

When they travel to Brussels to face the group’s top seeds on Monday, they will face their toughest challenge yet under their former captain.

Belgium only opened the campaign on Friday, conceding a late equalizer in North Macedonia to put them six points clear of Wales, despite having two games to play.

Bellamy responded, “No, I don’t,” when asked if he thought the outcome would put Belgium under pressure before facing Wales. These activities are possible. They still remain undef.

Did I anticipate that they would receive three points? I did . To give you a better understanding of what happened, how it happened, and even for myself, I need to see the game back. But yes, North Macedonia did a great job.

I’m not camping, but we go there. I don’t just sit back and relax. Not in my make-up, I suppose. I’m unable to do it and unwilling to do it.

Wales were utterly dominant in the battle of Liechtenstein, as they would have anticipated to be when they faced 205th-ranked, largely part-timers.

Although Wales’ determined, defensive visitors initially stung their side, Joe Rodon, Harry Wilson, and Kieffer Moore scored the winning goal. The eventual margin would have been much greater.

There are many things I liked. We should definitely make this number of seven and eight. That is what Bellamy referred to as.

Our country has never had a good time playing these games. We have a strong track record for that, and with the opportunities we created, we can improve.

“We’ll get to that, but I liked how people responded, “We get it back as soon as we lose.” The players had a really good attitude. Were we anticipating victory? We did, of course.

Did we anticipate a game that was this slow? Our ball boys could have gotten a little quicker, in my opinion.
