On Thursday, June 19, 2018, the summit of Yr Wyddfa will release the Wales’ 2025 Women’s European Championship squad.
Rhian Wilkinson’s selection will be confirmed at 1, 085 meters above sea level, which is Wales’ highest summit, in accordance with the phrase “the summit of emotions” from this summer’s competition.
The Wales side will host their first major tournament and will compete against France, England, and the Netherlands in Group D.
“It will be a truly special occasion to be able to announce our first ever major tournament squad at the summit of Wales,” said Wilkinson.
“I spent my entire childhood in Wales in the area, and I’m very close to it,” my father said.
Wales’ preparations for the Euro 2025 finals in Switzerland in July come to an end with Nations League matches against Italy on June 30 in Odense and Denmark in Odense on May 30. Both games are streamed live online, on BBC Wales’ television, radio, and online.
Wilkinson’s team is four points adrift at the bottom of Nations League Group A4, and they are still waiting for their first victory despite holding group leaders Sweden twice.
After drawing 1-1 at home to a Swedish side ranked sixth in the world thanks to Kayleigh Barton’s penalty equalizer, they lost 1-0 to Italy in the opening match of the competition.
