Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, the interior minister, expressed concern about delays in the processing of passports and warned against making illegal arrests.
The Nigerian Immigration Service passport offices in Abuja were unannounced, so the minister issued the warning.
He urged Nigerians to not pay a kobo over the fees that had been approved by the government and to stop service delivery incompetence.
