Annkio Briggs, a rights activist for the Niger Delta, claims that people, not legislators, have the authority to choose who will lead Rivers State.
Briggs made the remarks in response to Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of the Rivers State House of Assembly, and the impeachment scandal.
Rivers State residents want Governor Fubara to stay in office, even after his current term is anticipated to expire in 2027, according to her.
