Growing up in the United States as a proud Nigerian, Nwaogu said she learnt early that culture travels, lives in language spoken at home, in food shared at family gatherings, in music that fills the room, and in stories passed down across generations.
According to her, her Nigerian heritage taught her resilience—the belief that no matter where you are planted, you can thrive, adapt, and rise.
