A Lagos State food security initiative has received a 25 billion dollar donation from a businessman named Tony Elumelu.

Elumelu made this announcement on Wednesday at the start of the Lagos Food Systems Infrastructure Company’s Produce for Lagos Program.

With $2 billion, Elumelu said, “We are in favor of this initiative.”

It will help us deal with the issue of our young people’s lack of employment in a few years.

We think that our young people’s greatest problem is joblessness. We have arable lands, according to United Bank for Africa (UBA) chairman in Lagos, and they shouldn’t be jobless.
