Bola Tinubu, president of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), criticized the opposition coalition as one of confusion on Thursday.
Nentawe Yilwatda, the party’s Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction, was appointed as the party’s new national chairman at the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
The president requested that more opposition members join the ruling party by moving the APC congresses until December. He claimed that leaving the sinking ship and being absent from a coalition of confusion was not a bad idea.
The ADC coalition, which has pledged to unseat him in the 2027 election, includes Tinubu’s closest rivals Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar, both of whom are leading ADC members.
