Victoria Beckham’s dance moves became the subject of scrutiny when her son, Brooklyn Beckham, accused her of ‘dancing on him inappropriately’ – and now one unearthed video has fans saying the same thing
Victoria Beckham’s dance moves have become the subject of scrutiny since her son, Brooklyn Beckham, accused her of dancing “inappropriately” on him at his wedding to Nicola Peltz. Now, an unearthed video of the former Spice Girl dancing on a beach with her daughter-in-law has everyone asking the same question.
Brooklyn, 26, accused his 51-year-old mum of “hijacking” his first dance at his multi-million dollar wedding to billionaire heiress Nicola, 31, and claimed in a lengthy Instagram post that it left him humiliated and speechless. Brooklyn’s social media post comes after rumours of a feud between Nicola and Victoria, and the news that in August last year, Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their wedding vows without any of the Beckham family present.
While Victoria and her husband, David Beckham, have remained silent about the ongoing family feud, fans on social media have dug up an old post of Posh Spice that features a video of her dancing on a beach with Nicola back in 2024.
The video was posted to celebrate Nicola’s birthday, and in the post, Victoria described her as “the best dance partner and loving daughter-in-law”, leaving fans all asking the same question about their relationship.
Victoria wrote alongside the video: “Happy birthday @nicolaannepeltz… We love you so much!! Your love, kindness, talent and your ability to dance on sand in a major wedge!! The best dance partner and loving daughter-in-law. We love you, have an amazing day!!!!! Xxxxxx [sic].”
Commenters on the video were quick to take sides between Victoria and Nicola, and many pointed out if you believe Brooklyn is telling the truth on his Instagram post about how his parents allegedly control the Beckham family image, then either Victoria or Nicola has to be “acting” in the video that shows them seemingly enjoying each other’s company.
One person asked: “I wanna know who the Brooklyn supporters think is acting here… Victoria or Nicola?”
Another accused Victoria of being a “catty Spice Girl” rather than a mother to her son, writing: “Not so great after all. This girl is definitely the problem, but so are you! You just lost your son because you were being a catty Spice Girl, not a mother!”
A third sided with Nicola, stating: “Nicola is not the problem. She is a young, pretty woman. Perhaps too clever for the Beckhams.”
There were several commenters on the post who sided with Victoria, however, stating her post seemed genuine and that “Nicola is the problem” as a result.
No matter who fans think is right or wrong, though, Brooklyn has seemingly made his decision to stick by his wife and cut off his family. In a scathing Instagram post this week, he said he would never reconcile with his parents.
Part of his lengthy statement read: “I do not want to reconcile with my family. I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”
Victoria and David have largely remained silent on the feud, but on Tuesday (20th January), David appeared on a panel in Switzerland to talk about sport as a business, where he said that “children are allowed to make mistakes”.
Speaking about his work as a goodwill ambassador for Unicef, he said: “I’ve been able to use my platform and following for Unicef and it’s been the biggest tool to make people aware of what’s going on around the world for children.
