After years of being “snubbed” because of a family feud for the Beckhams, David Beckham is reportedly set to receive a knighthood in the King’s Birthday Honours list.
Victoria Beckham, David Beckham’s wife, will receive a new title as a former football player receives a knighthood. David has been “snubbed” from receiving a knighthood for a number of years, but it has now been revealed he will be listed among the King’s Birthday Honours list.
It is anticipated that David will reportedly become a “Sir” next week, just months after it was revealed that he allegedly began a furious rant against the perceived snub, calling the committee a “f*cking joke” and the honours system a “f**king joke.” He reportedly said, “I expected nothing less… Who decides the honors?” To be honest, this is a disgrace, and ten years ago, I would have received something like this. It’s “p***ed me off those old, unappreciative c***s.”
Beckham’s representative at the time criticized the reports, calling them false and fabricated. They claimed that “this story is based on outdated information that was systematically gathered from hacked and manipulated private emails from a third-party server,” and that this information intentionally paints an inaccurate picture.
A close pal of Beckham later spoke to The Mirror about the incident, revealing that although Beckham regretted the messages, they were sent “in the heat of the moment”. The friend had said: “Genuinely, he wasn’t as vitriolic as that, but you do say some things in private and in the heat of the moment. To be honest, he does feel that he has given so much to his country. And sometimes you say things in private that anyone would say and you don’t really mean it. While he was frustrated in those emails, he was over it the moment he sent them. Getting the knighthood is not what his work is about. He doesn’t care if he gets a knighthood or not.”
With the news of a knighthood finally being given to David, it has also been revealed that Victoria will now be known as ‘Lady Beckham’ amid a huge family feud. Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz have been locked in a rift with his parents.
Romeo’s recent breakup with his girlfriend Kim, according to a source, would have no impact on the Beckhams. Sadly, there are no signs of reconciliation here. The source claimed that there is still a lot of pain to be healed.
Sources close to Nicola previously insisted that as “an outsider coming into the Beckham family, she has helped Brooklyn see the emotional abuse and toxic behaviour within”. The claims – described as “patently untrue and ludicrous” by friends of David and Victoria – were the “nail in the coffin” of any future relationship, sources claim.
