The sexual nonsense
When he was a teenager, Victoria Beckham publicly made a sexual joke referring to erections with Brooklyn – then aged 14 – in the audience. While accepting an accolade at the Glamour Woman of the Year Awards, Victoria took to the stage and realised the microphone was too low down for her so she quipped: “Oh, I have to raise it, that doesn’t happen often.”
Before she gasped in shock and shook her hands, the audience began to laugh. She continued, “Oh my god, I didn’t even mean that.” The audience was still watching her son while she said, “I’m so sorry, Brooklyn, I’m so sorry.” They told me to be funny, but I was completely off the rails.

The “big boy” comment
No one wants to be called a ‘big boy’ when they’re 16 years old and least of all in public by their dad. But this is something David Beckham decided to do.
The former football player kissed his head in a monochrome photo of himself and his son in a seemingly well-intentioned post from 2015, which he shared on Instagram. Something about him proudly says, “I love this not so little man so much……. developing quickly into the ideal hiking companion and gentleman… Big boy, I love you.
His hair is being made fun of.
His father David Beckham was once as well-known for his haircuts as his mother, and his best friend is Ken Paves, a hairdresser. However, that did not prevent Victoria from mocking Brooklyn’s hairstyle in 2017.
While he was dating actress Chloe Grace Moretz, his mum compared his choice of style to comic book character Dennis the Menace. Posting a split shot of Brooklyn and Dennis next to each other she wrote on Instagram: “@brooklynbeckham X That hair!!! @chloegmoretz what have u done!!”
Chloe responded in the comments with “Hahahah ohhhhh my god.” Brooklyn didn’t appear to make any comments in the press.
The media blatantly exposing his drunken state
Brooklyn appeared to be sleeping on the couch at home while doing what many teenagers would do after seeing live music at a festival in 2015. His mother apparently shared a photo of him with her online followers after she discovered him without his knowledge.
Back from Coachella @brooklynbeckham x vb was a picture of him that Victoria posted with the caption “Back from Coachella @brooklynbeckham x vb” Some comments made reference to Brooklyn’s bottom at the time of his 16th birthday.
wearing a t-shirt that reads “I’m special”
You’re more likely to follow your mother’s style advice because she’s a fashion designer. However, it might have turned off when Brooklyn wore a t-shirt with the words “My mama says I’m special.”
Let’s assume it was a mother-son joke, but Brooklyn’s expression as a teen suggested otherwise. Not that it prevented Victoria from posting it to Instagram.
