The former Geordie Shore star shared that it’s been ‘one of those weeks’ as she recovered from being sick just in time to injure herself while training for Strictly Come Dancing
It’s been a tough week for Strictly Come Dancing star Vicky Pattison, who has battled illness, injury, and even a minor dog-related accident.
The Geordie Shore favourite, 37, has revealed the string of unfortunate mishaps she’s endured over the past few days, from chipping her tooth during rehearsals to suffering a painful cut on her face.
Vicky told fans she was “ill at the start of the week” before things quickly went from bad to worse. She shared a photo of her bloodied nose on her Instagram story, writing: “Just been one of those weeks lads… ill at the start of the week, chipped me tooth in a spicy lift with Kai and now Max has popped me nose and cut it in his sheer excitement to see me… I can’t be mad…but I am b**y due some good luck surely.”

Vicky, who is paired with professional dancer Kai Widdrington, explained that she injured herself while attempting a “spicy lift” in rehearsals.
To make matters worse, her beloved dog Max accidentally scratched her face shortly after, rounding off what she described as a “chaotic” few days.
Earlier in the week, both Vicky and Kai became ill, forcing them to cancel their scheduled appearance on Strictly: It Takes Two.
She posted an update at the time, telling her followers: “Man, or should I say ‘men’, down. Huge apologies to anyone expecting to see me and Kai on It Takes Two tonight. Doing all we can to get back to our best and back to the training room asap.”
Despite her message to the public, fans became concerned that she may have quit the competition entirely. She soon cleared this up with another note that she posted to social media alongside a smiling selfie of her and Kai.
She wrote: “There seems to have a bit of a miscommunication! @kaiwidd was poorly earlier on in the week and I wasn’t 110% so we had to pull out of our weekly appearance on It Takes Two… that’s it. I have not dropped out of Strictly… I’m having a lovely time and really grateful for this experience!”
She added that the pair were back in the training room and feeling much better ahead of Saturday night’s live show, where they will perform a Charleston to A Little Party Never Killed Nobody from The Great Gatsby.
Vicky has admitted she initially struggled with nerves in the lead up to her Strictly debut. In a recent post, she said she almost turned the show down over her fears of performing live, but ultimately decided to “put on her big girl pants” and go for it.
“I knew before Strictly even started I was going to struggle with my nerves and anxiety…so much so, that I almost said no to this incredible opportunity,” she confessed. “But I absolutely don’t want that nasty little inner critic to dictate my life.”
