Vicky Pattison has shown the injury she has suffered as the intense training for this year’s BBC Strictly Come Dancing continues ahead of its launch later in the month
Training for Strictly Come Dancing is underway but for one of the celebrity hopefuls they have been left wounded. Former Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison has showed off her gruesome injury as she prepares to battle it out for the coveted Glitter Ball Trophy on the BBC show.
Vicky, 37, took to Instagram to share an update, labelling her reel of pictures “Strictly BTS”. In the images, Vicky showed a close-up of a nasty looking blister on her big toe.
She also admitted to having a cry on the phone as she was put through her paces. However, her other images seemingly showed her enjoying the experience so far. She was snapped smiling away with her fellow dancers – and even included a picture of her dog with a shoe in its mouth.
The reality TV star went on to write: “It’s been a WEEK let me tell you lads!

“I’ve laughed, cried and been strictlified. But I already feel like I’ve made friends for life with all my gorgeous dancers, not to mention the pros and the fabulous crew! It certainly is a juggernaut and I’m so honoured to be a part of this years show… even if it means I’ll have no skin at all left on my feet soon.
She signed off: “Love you all and Thankyou for your continued kind and supportive words… they mean so much!!! Not long now.”
Wow! What a week and ouch that toe!,” one of her followers wrote. “Ohhh this has made me smile so much!!! Apart from the bloody toe of course ffs,” said another.
The upload comes as fans fumed over an alleged leak of this year’s pairings. While all the stars are currently in intense training, the official lineup of who will dance with who has been kept under wraps by bosses.
However, it seems as though a list has shown the couples, with a number of accounts sharing the allegations on Twitter/X.
“Is this scam would not give information to them,” one furious fan said on the social media post. Another queried the leak, saying: “is that confirmed? this one is saying different.”
This year sees a wide range of celebrity backgrounds joins the show. As well as Vicky, Thomas Skinner is also to appear. As is show’s first contestant with Down’s syndrome, Ellie Goldstein, and its first drag queen La Voix.
Reality star Vicky initially made her announcement on ITV’s This Morning. At the time she revealed she was “terrified” by her latest project.
She told hosts Emma Willis and Craig Doyle: “I’ve not got high hopes for my dancing, I’m a drinker, not a dancer, drunk auntie dancing is me.”
