Vicky McClure, the star of Line of Duty, has changed plans after making a significant social media announcement that claimed there is a “first for everything.”
Vicky McClure is set for a big career change, it has been revealed. The Line of Duty actress is best known for her career in front of the camera.
However, in a big announcement by band Reverend and the Makers, the star is set to be joining them on a new track. The band took to social media to make the revelation.
Taking to Twitter /X the band excitedly wrote: “ANNOUNCEMENT KLAXON.” They then penned: “Absolutely buzzing to announce we have a new single about to drop featuring, on lead vocals for the first time ever, the living legend @Vicky_McClure ’ (plus a bit on @jonathanowen71 on bass)

Additionally, the band shared a teaser of the song’s video. The actress and lead singer Jon McClure performed to a cheery crowd in the song “Haircut,” which is coming soon on the video.

Vicky and the band made an appearance at the weekend’s Glastonbury show. However, the actress’ most recent announcement doesn’t take a step back from the small screen.
Insomnia, a forthcoming Channel 5 drama, will also star her. Emma (Vicky), a successful woman, is the subject of the new psychological thriller. She experiences sleep deprivation weeks before turning 40, though.
According to The Radio Times, Emma Averill, a successful lawyer, is terrified that she will end up with her mother and go through a violent psychotic breakdown on her 40th birthday as a result of inherited “bad blood.”
“A couple of weeks before the milestone, Emma stops sleeping and her world begins to unravel, straining her relationship with her husband Robert and children Chloe and Will. As her mental state fractures, Emma resolves to confront her family history to prevent tragedy striking successive generations.”
Tom Cullen, Leanne Best, and Jade Harrison make up the thriller’s cast, along with Vicky. The drama moved on to Five after beginning as a Paramount+ series.
The 2022 novel of the same name was adapted into the six-part series. Sarah Pinborough, a bestselling author, wrote it. On the on-screen production, Vincy now serves as Executive Producer.
