Vanessa Feltz has revealed she’d like to go under the knife after watching herself back in her new eponymous Channel 5 chat show. The broadcaster, who has welcomed guests such as Helen Flanagan and Calum Best onto the daytime show so far, admitted that while the show has been a roaring success, the camera angles aren’t quite her favourite.

Speaking at Nick Ede and Alexandra Burke’s Spring Ball, Vanessa told Mirror: “After watching myself back on my show I want some Botox or something like that! In real life you can kid yourself that you haven’t aged a bit and smooth yourself in pictures, but on TV there’s none of that.”

“There were some angles where I thought, ‘Oh god’ – I need some sort of neck or facelift!”, said Vanessa with a laugh, before adding that she was ‘half joking’.

Vanessa’s new show sees her with a new celebrity guest each day as they discuss issues such as relationships, parenting, gossip, fashion and more.

And admitting it’s completely off the cuff, Vanessa continues, “I don’t follow a script or plan out what I’m going to say, It’s just a discussion and a conversation that flows. I am loving the show and it’s amazing – I know you’re not meant to say that about your own show but it really is!”

When asked if there are any dream guests she’d love on her pink couch, Vanessa joked, “I hear Barbara Streisand is begging to be on the show and Michelle Obama is really keen to come along! People like that would be fabulous”.

Vanessa’s show may be about callers and guests, but she also gives her own insight and opinions on the show and even opened up about her love life in the launch episode on Monday. She admitted, “This is the longest I’ve been single for, and I can’t say I’m enjoying it” during a chat with Helen Flanagan about relationships.

Previously, Vanessa dated Phats & Small singer Ben Ofoedu for almost two decades before their split in 2023. Meanwhile, she shares daughters Allegra, 38, and Saskia, 35, with ex-husband Michael Kurer – who she married in 1983 before divorcing in 2000.

Vanessa’s move to fronting her own show has meant she’s had to take a step back from rival channel ITV’s This Morning after 33 years, something she recently admitted wasn’t planned.

“I love This Morning, I would never leave it, I couldn’t love it more,” she told Metro earlier this month.

“I would happily have stayed and gone on the back of a motorbike from the This Morning studio straight to Channel 5 and done both. I almost believed I’d be able to do that, but I think apparently, it’s not the way it’s done… but I’d have done it, and I think they would have been happy for me to do it too.”
