After watching herself back on her new Channel 5 talkshow, Vanessa Feltz joked that she needs a “neck or face lift,” and that she would like some cosmetic surgery.
Vanessa Feltz has revealed she’d like to go under the knife after watching herself back in her new eponymous Channel 5 chat show. The broadcaster, who has welcomed guests such as Helen Flanagan and Calum Best onto the daytime show so far, admitted that while the show has been a roaring success, the camera angles aren’t quite her favourite.
Speaking at Nick Ede and Alexandra Burke’s Spring Ball, Vanessa told Mirror: “After watching myself back on my show I want some Botox or something like that! In real life you can kid yourself that you haven’t aged a bit and smooth yourself in pictures, but on TV there’s none of that.”
Vanessa laughed as she admitted to being “half joking,” before saying, “Oh god, I need some sort of neck or facelift.”
As they discuss topics like relationships, parenting, gossip, fashion, and more on Vanessa’s new show, she interacts with a new celebrity guest every day.
Vanessa continues, “I don’t follow a script or plan out what I’m going to say,” while also acknowledging that the conversation is entirely off the rails. I’m loving the show and finding it amazing (I’m sorry, I’m sorry, but it’s true)!
When Vanessa was asked if there were any special guests she would like to have on her pink couch, Vanessa said, “I hear Barbara Streisand is pleading for guest appearances on the show and Michelle Obama is really interested in coming along! ” That kind of people would be wonderful.
Vanessa’s show may feature guests and callers, but she also offers her own perspective and opinions on the show. In the show’s opening episode, which was on Monday, she even revealed her love life. In a conversation with Helen Flanagan about relationships, she admitted, “This is the longest I’ve been single for, and I can’t say I’m enjoying it.”
Previously, Vanessa dated Phats & Small singer Ben Ofoedu for almost two decades before their split in 2023. Meanwhile, she shares daughters Allegra, 38, and Saskia, 35, with ex-husband Michael Kurer – who she married in 1983 before divorcing in 2000.
Vanessa’s move to fronting her own show has meant she’s had to take a step back from rival channel ITV’s This Morning after 33 years, something she recently admitted wasn’t planned.
She told Metro earlier this month, “I love This Morning, I would never leave it, I couldn’t love it more.”
“I would have loved to have traveled from the This Morning studio to Channel 5 on a motorbike and done both.” I almost believed I would be able to do that, but I don’t believe that’s how it’s done, and I think they would have been pleased for me to do it as well.
