The husband of the late Valerie Mahaffey, who died at the age of 71, has issued a statement following her death. Valerie died on Friday 30 May in Los Angeles following her battle with cancer, according to her publicist.
The actress’s starring roles in Desperate Housewives and Young Sheldon were highly regarded.
Joseph described his heartbreaking loss as “the loss of one of America’s most endearing actresses,” according to Joseph in Variety magazine. She will be missed.
Valerie soon became a recognised face in TV playing endearing characters and worked alongside Hollywood elite such as Michelle Pfeiffer and Tom Hanks.
Since the tragic death of her husband was revealed, tributes have been pouring in from her daughter and her legion of fans on social media. One user expressed sadness over the passing of her only 71. RIP”.
One of the most underappreciated and fantastic character actresses ever, wrote another heartbroken fan, “Oh man, Valerie Mahaffey was always one of the best.”
Another person claimed that “She was in EVERYTHING!” No one else improved soft-spoken, passive-aggressive viciousness, either.
Meanwhile her beloved daughter Alice took to Facebook and said: “I don’t really have the words to say right now. Cancer sucks.”
She continued, “I’ll look for you in every enjoyable situation in life.” You’ll be there, I am aware of that.
Valerie recently appeared in the Apple TV+ series Echo 3, which was released in 2022, extending her glittering career.
She also starred in the cast of the earlier this year-previously-released film The 8th Day.
In 1979, Valerie appeared in the NBC daytime soap opera The Doctors, which helped her reach stardom. Additionally, Valerie received an Emmy nomination for her role in the television series in 1980.
However, she had to wait for the most coveted gong to arrive. Valerie, who played Eve in the role in Northern Exposure, won the Emmy in 1992.
She appeared in a number of other TV programs, including Law &, Order, CSI, and the comedy Frasier, as a result of her acting love.
