He passed away on January 19 at his home at PM23 in Piazza Mignanelli 23 on Wednesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Fondazione Valentino Garavani and Giancarlo Giammetti shared information about his death and his funeral on social media. The funeral will be held on Friday, January 23rd, at 11 am in Rome’s Piazza della Repubblica 8, according to them.
Princess Diana, Jennifer Lopez, Joan Collins, Andy Warhol, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, and Julia Roberts were some of the designers’ clients who built his distinctive fashion house in 1960. He frequently collaborated with famous people in the worlds of society, royalty, and celebrity.
He also created Elizabeth Taylor’s and Jackie O.’s wedding dresses. He previously said, “I would dream about beautiful women, extremely sophisticated, all made up with beautiful jewelry and beautiful dresses,” referring to his success.
He continued, “I think I knew I wanted to be a fashion designer from that time, I think. “
