US Open finalist Anisimova Beats Noskova To Win Beijing Title

Amanda Anisimova won the China Open on Sunday, beating Linda Noskova 6-0, 2-6, and 6-2, which is her fourth overall and second title.

In Beijing, the third-seeded American fought back from a second-set bumbling to defeat the Czech 26th seed in an hour and 46 minutes.

She lost to world number one Aryna Sabalenka in the US Open final almost exactly one month after winning the trophy in the Chinese capital.

After Coco Gauff and Serena Williams, the 24-year-old American won the China Open. She is the third American to do so.

In victory, Anisimova slouched on her back and applied her hands to her face, collapsing to the court.

In 23 minutes, Anisimova won the first set without conceding any points.

In the second set, a rebel Noskova surged to victory, taking a 5-2 lead before settling down.

The two faced off in the decisive until, with the score at 4-2, Anisimova surged in, crossing the line with a winner at the halfway point.

The world number four, who finished second at Wimbledon, has had a fantastic season.

Anisimova was at the top of the world this year. 43.

In the Beijing semi-finals, Anisimova defeated second seed Gauff 6-1, 6-2, in 58 minutes.

Noskova, who launched her Beijing run as the No. 1 in the world, started out. 27-year-old competed in her first WTA 1000 final.
