After disbursing nine million euros (£7.88 million) between 103 European clubs as benefit payments for the release of players for Women’s Euro 2025, Uefa claims to be investing in the “future of the women’s game.”

Chelsea and Arsenal, two of the English teams that won 2.37 million euros ($2.1 million), both collected a total of 870, 525 euros (£762, 000).

The overall budget for the 2022 tournament is double the 4.5 million euros that were given out as compensation for clubs from 16 federations.

We want everyone to be a part of how successful women’s football continues to be, according to Uefa President Aleksander Ceferin.

The club benefits program highlights the crucial contribution that European clubs make to the development of the players who contributed to the groundbreaking and unforgettable Uefa Women’s Euro 2025.

The payments strengthen the crucial collaboration between the club and the national team football by acting as an investment in the game’s future, not just as a financial reward.

Chelsea (£405, 000) and Arsenal (£357, 000) were the highest earners in the WSL, with Manchester City (£280, 000), Manchester United (£236, 000), Everton (£136, 000), and Leicester City (£115, 000) also awarded more than £100, 000.

Liga F champions Barcelona, who received $ 497, 000, came out on top, followed by the top five places: Italy’s Juventus (363, 000) and Bayern Munich (£408, 000), Germany’s Bayern Munich (408, 000).

Teams from England (split across the WSL and WSL 2), France, Germany, Italy, and Spain accounted for 79% (£6.2 million) of the benefits pot.

In contrast, the club benefits package for the Men’s Euro 2024 distributed 223 million euros (£195 million) to 901 clubs across 55 European football associations.
