Two-thirds of people Israel killed in strikes were women and children

At least 436 people were killed in 100 simultaneous strikes across the Gaza Strip on Tuesday morning, breaking Hamas’ fragile two-month-old ceasefire.

At least 183 children, 94 women, 34 elderly people, and 125 men were among the at least 436 fatalities reported to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. More than 678 people were also hurt, many of whom were critically, and are still encased beneath the rubble.

The Israeli military attacked 23 locations on Tuesday, from dawn to around 2 p.m. local time (12:00 GMT), according to Al Jazeera’s fact-checking agency SANAD. Below is a map of these locations.

Israeli attacks targeted Jabalia, Beit Hanoon, Gaza City, Nuseirat, Deir el-Balah, Khan Younis, and Rafah in various locations throughout the Gaza Strip, from north to south. The al-Mawasi region, among others, was attacked along with other areas that had been designated as safe humanitarian zones.

A group of civilians, including a woman with special needs, were attacked in front of al-Rantisi Children’s Hospital in western Gaza City.

Additionally, two schools in northwest Rafah City, al-Tabin School in Daraj, Gaza City, and Dar al-Fadhila School, both of which provide shelter to displaced families, were bombed. At least 25 people died.

People in Gaza were “terrified, helpless, and devastated” after the attacks because of the Israeli blockade of aid and electricity, according to Al Jazeera’s Hind Khoudary, who is a reporter from Deir el-Balah.

“People are starving,” he declared. They are unable to eat anything. Due to Israel’s discontinuation of electricity, the water desalination plant, which was providing water to 500, 000 Palestinians, is no longer operational, she claimed. Palestinians wake up to a large number of attacks in various Gazan regions as a result of all this happening, according to &nbsp.

Israel would continue fighting until it had accomplished all of its war objectives, including destroying Hamas and releasing all of the captives, according to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday, saying that the new bombing of Gaza was “only the beginning.”

Dismembered entire families

Nearly a million families have been destroyed once more. Nesreen Abdu’s family, who was also killed in the home bombing in Gaza City on April 30, 2000, was one of them. The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor is led by Abdu. Nesreen, her children Siwar and Mohammed, as well as Ubaida’s wife Malak and their young children, Omer and Layan, were all killed.

902 entire families had been eliminated from the civil registry as of October 2024 as a result of Israel’s attacks on Gaza. This implies that each and every one of their members was murdered.

Additionally, 3, 472 Palestinian families were reduced to just two surviving members, while at least 1, 364 Palestinian families were left with only one surviving member.

Israeli attacks continue.

At least 27 Palestinians were killed overnight as a result of Israeli-style second-day rocket attacks on Gaza.

According to the Ministry of Health, the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict has left at least 49,547 Palestinians dead and 112 719 wounded. In Gaza, one in every 50 people have been killed and one in every 20 have been hurt, according to this figure.
