Before naming his first team, England head coach Thomas Tuchel has met with Arsenal defender Ben White.
Tuchel, who started his role officially on 1 January, said at the World Cup draw in December that he would “reach out” to White.
White left England’s 2022 World Cup camp in Qatar after the group stage to return home for personal reasons.
Since making himself unavailable for selection, he hasn’t played for England.
The 27-year-old has played four times for the Three Lions, with his last appearance in March 2022.
Before the World Cup qualifiers against Albania and Latvia at Wembley in March, Tuchel has been spotted watching players at numerous games.
White will definitely be in the Three Lions squad, according to sources who spoke to BBC Sport, but it is not thought that this means.
White had knee surgery and made his first appearance for Arsenal since November when West Ham were thwarted over the weekend.
Mikel Arteta, the manager of the Gunners, has stated that the decision to reinstate White to international prominence is up to the England coach.
“]He is] a player that has given us something very, very special, especially in that right unit”, Arteta said of White’s impact in his Arsenal team.
