Two stars of Celebrity Traitors’ friendship came under strain this week as he ‘murdered’ her in the first episode of the BBC series, Celebrity Traitors, despite their close bond
The “truth” behind Alan Carr and Paloma Faith’s feud has finally been unveiled. The pair’s friendship came under strain recently as it was revealed on the first series of Celebrity Traitors that Alan chose to “murder” the singer.
Alan was chosen alongside Cat Burns and Jonathan Ross to be the first three Traitors on the new series. They were then tasked to kill someone in plain sight and Paloma was chosen as their target.
Alan was the one who committed the task despite already being good friends with Paloma. Since the show aired, she has since opened up about what the betrayal meant to her on companion show Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked.

She said “These are like three of my favourite people that I was sure… I hope they never call me again. Bang out of order. Bang out of order. I feel really even more betrayed now. I feel betrayed by Jonathan and Alan.”
However, it seems that Paloma’s annoyed comments are just a joke and she and Alan are still good friends. The Sun reported that a source said: “Paloma’s sad to be out first from Celebrity Traitors but is keen to carry on the game.
“She’s been making digs at Alan on social media to keep up the pretence that she’s still a Faithful at war with a Traitor, but of course the pair are still incredibly firm friends. Both of them have been in the business long enough to know not to take anything in showbiz seriously
“What matters is how they treat each other off screen. They’re looking forward to catching up soon for a Traitors debrief.”
The show started this week and saw a cast of 19 celebrities enter the famous Scottish Highlands castle with Claudia Winkleman who chose her three Traitors. As well as Alan, Jonathan Ross and Cat Burns are also Traitors.
Paloma also revealed that she’s not the only person upset with Alan as she said her daughter told her the Chatty Man is “banned” from their house.
Appearing on The One Show, Paloma said: “This morning, she woke up, shook me and said, ‘Mama, I don’t like Alan anymore. He can’t come to our house. You can’t invite him to our house again’.”
She then went on to talk about the online reaction she’d received for not hiding the fact she was disappointed with her exit, Paloma added: “I do think it’s important to just acknowledge the fact that some people online have been quite angry about me expressing disappointment, which I find quite a weird concept.
“Why aren’t we allowed in our culture to just say, ‘Yeah I’m a bit upset that I wasn’t there. I was really looking forward to being there.’ I think it’s fine to just go, ‘I really psyched myself up for that and I was having a great time.’ It was really abrupt and short.”
The Celebrity Traitors continues Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9pm on BBC One and on BBC iPlayer.
