Brooklyn Beckham is struggling to have a proper relationship with his sister Harper given the ongoing feud with his parents , as he is desperate to shield her from the row

Brooklyn Beckham is finding it “difficult” to maintain a relationship with his younger sister as the feud with his parents rumbles on. The 26-year-old is currently not talking to David and Victoria, or his brothers Cruz and Romeo, all of whom he has blocked on social media.

However the situation is “very different” when it comes to his 14-year-old sister who it’s understood Brooklyn wants to shield from the family fall-out. But a source admits that the “fundamental logistics of his little sister living under the same roof as his parents….makes things very hard, contact-wise.”

The pal added how he is doing his best not to “strain family relationships” beyond the falling out with his parents, and to a lesser extent his brothers. “This is why he is still talking to his grandparents for instance and has been from the beginning of all this,” the pal says. “But he doesn’t want to bring anybody else into this. But it’s hard for obvious reasons to maintain a proper relationship with all his family at present.”

The Mirror told this month how he was still in contact with both sets of grandparents, with a source saying at the time: “There is a lot of love for them, and that has never faltered.” But Brooklyn currently has no desire to resume contact with his mum and dad at present. And there has previously been considerable friction between him and his brothers who Brooklyn believes “fanned the flames” of the feud with some barbed online comments last year.

A source described the situation in its entirety as being like a “stalemate”. An insider remarked: “His parents have been told what is needed in order for this relationship to move forward. At the moment things aren’t progressing.” We told last week how Brooklyn’s decision to send a legal letter to them asking them to stop contacting him online was to protect his mental health. The 26-year-old has told friends how online posts from David and Victoria in which he was tagged or mentioned had impacted him.

Brooklyn wanted any attempts to reconcile to be carried out “privately” rather in the glare of the public on social media. A legal letter sent last summer urged David and Victoria to only communicate with his lawyers instead, and to cease direct contact.

They are “desperately sad” about the situation and friends say every post or contact has been done out of a desire for reconciliation. “They are only doing what every parent would do in this situation….they love Brooklyn deeply and will always be there for him,” a source said previously.

The feud blew up after Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz did not attend David’s 50th birthday celebrations in London. A particular low point came when they failed to invite the Beckhams to see them renew their wedding vows, three years on from tying the knot. Speaking about the ceremony last August, Brooklyn said: “We just wanted a really beautiful experience.
