Trump spurns Kremlin’s Putin residence attack claim, Russia kills 2 in Kyiv

Donald Trump, the president of the United States, refutes claims that Ukraine attacked Russian President Vladimir Putin’s residence as the conflict rages on, saying he did not “believe that strike occurred” after initially accepting the Kremlin’s account on its face.

No one was aware at the time whether a report about the alleged incident was accurate, Trump, on Air Force One, said to reporters on Sunday night. He added that “something” happened close to Putin’s residence, but that Ukraine did not, according to US officials, believe it was being targeted by it.
