Volodymyr Zelensky, the leader of Ukraine, was accused by US President Donald Trump of wanting a prolonged conflict with Russia and “overplayed his hand” on Friday during their extraordinary Oval Office brawl.
Trump called reporters as he left the White House and headed for his Florida estate, pleading that “it must end immediately” the conflict in Ukraine.
Zelensky was accused of “looking for something I’m not looking for” by the US president.
He wants to continue fighting until the end is near.

Trump added that Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, “wants to end it,” as he claimed on Friday.
Trump made the announcement that the Oval Office would face off against Russia, which has occupied large swathes of Ukraine and has destroyed cities and towns along the way. He said Ukraine would need to “compromises” in a truce.

In response to Putin, Zelensky said, “no compromises with a killer on our territory.”
