
Two pick-up vans allegedly carrying logistics for ISWAP terrorists in Borno State have been intercepted by members of Sector 2 of Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK), which is coordinated with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF).
Lt. Col. Sani Uba, Media Information Officer for Joint Task Force (North East) Operation Hadin Kai in Maiduguri, stated in a statement that the operation was carried out in response to credible human intelligence that had alerted the military to the items moving from Dapchi in Yobe State to Magumeri general area of Borno State.
The troops responded to the statement’s claim that they had deployed tactically, deployed quickly, and intercepted the vehicles along the identified route.
Two civilian vehicles, two spare tyres, 23 spare rims, two bicycles, 12 ignition key starters, three alternators, two bags of flour, one mattress, five bags of charcoal, two blankets, two garri nylons, assorted adult and child clothing, one power bank, six mobile phones, and some cash of different denominations are among the items that have been recovered during the operation.

The drivers who transported the items, along with the recovered materials, are currently being held by the military for questioning to find out if they were involved in any ongoing counter-terrorism investigations, according to LT. col. Uba.
