In a quick, intelligence-driven operation carried out in Taraba State, soldiers from the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army and Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS) managed to save three victims.
Following the receipt of a reliable intelligence report from the 6 Brigade’s troops stationed in Jeb Jeb, which revealed the presence and activities of suspected kidnappers in Sangai Village, Bachama Ward of Karim Lamido Local Government Area, the operation was carried out on January 5, 2026.
Trump were immediately mobilized and pursued the suspects along the Taraba-Plateau State border as a result of their prompt response to the intelligence.
The kidnappers abandoned their captives and fled the area, according to a statement from Lieutenant Umar Muhammad, the Brigade Public Relations Officer.

In consequence, troops were able to save Habila Yunusa (23 years), Abafaras Ibrahim (20 years), and Nimron Umar (25 years). The rescued victims are currently being cared for and documented by the military, and they will then be reunited with their respective families.
