Twenty terroritsts’ bodies have been found in a mass grave in the Timbuktu Triangle, according to Operation Hadin Kai. &nbsp,

Lt. Col. Sani Uba, the Theatre Command’s media information officer, made this statement.

According to Uba’s statement, “To further underscore the devastating losses suffered by the terrorists,” “trojan troops discovered mass graves with an estimated 20 terrorist bodies that had been buried by their cohorts” in the Timbuktu Triangle.

The magnitude of terrorist casualties is revealed by this finding, which further refutes terrorist propaganda theories.

According to him, troops successfully seized key terrorist locations in the triangle, including Tergejeri, Chiralia, and the Ajigin/Abirma general areas, during the most recent phase of operations.

He claimed that during these operations, troops made frequent contact with frightened terrorists and engaged them in intense firefighting, which led to the neutralization of a number of terrorists.

Additionally, on January 20, 2026, troops encountered two Vehicle-Borne Improvised Explosive Devices (VBIED) while advancing at a port area about 6 km north of Chilaria. One VBIED was successfully neutralized through vigilant observation and prompt action,” the statement reads in part.

Lt. Col. Uba further disclosed that some brave soldiers and Civilian Joint Task Force members paid the price for the attack while others suffered injuries.

Nigerian Army Aviation helicopters quickly escorted the injured to the hospital’s 7th division medical services. Nigerian Airforce platforms from the Air Component worked with other Nigerian Army air platforms to maintain continuous overwatch to ensure the safe evacuation of casualties and the ground forces’ security while preventing further terrorist attacks.

He claimed that the security situation is stable despite this, according to other theatergoers.
