Numerous bandit hideouts and recovered logistics from the criminals in Taraba State have been recovered by the soldiers from Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS)’s 6 Brigade Nigerian Army.  ,
A alleged notorious bandit leader known as Liamdoo Douglas Adekpe, also known as Bajor, was the subject of the operation’s investigation.
The 6 Brigade spokesman, Captain Olubodunde Oni, made this disclosure in a statement on Monday.
He claimed that the troops launched an offensive on July 5, 2025, aiming specifically at remote areas in Taraba State’s southern Wukari Local Government Area, which they believed to be a haven for the Bajor-led syndicate, based on reliable information.

Oni claimed that when the criminals arrived, they sensed an imminent threat and left a number of valuable items behind.
Important hideouts used by the syndicate to coordinate attacks and store weapons were destroyed as a result of the operation.
Five operational motorcycles are also recovered by the forces, believed to have been used for quick movements and raids on nearby towns.
Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, commander of the 6 Brigade Nigerian Army, and Brigadier General Kingsley Chidiebere Uwa, commander of Sector 3 OPWS, noted that while Bajor and his cohorts escaped with little difficulty, troops are still on high alert and are currently monitoring their movements.
He emphasized that the Nigerian Army is still working to eradicate all criminal elements that threaten law-abiding citizens in Taraba State and elsewhere.
In order to support ongoing operations, Brigadier General Uwa reaffirmed the resolve of 6 Brigade to continue to press on all terrorist enclaves. He also urged Taraba State residents to continue providing timely and actionable information to security agencies.
