Trial Begins In Paris Over 2016 Gunpoint Robbery Of Kim Kardashian

On Monday in Paris, ten suspects will stand trial for Kim Kardashian’s 2016 robbery, which resulted in the theft of $ 10 million worth of jewelry from the reality TV star and influencer.

Kardashian, 44, is scheduled to appear in court on May 13th in a court appearance that will be significant in itself. She left Paris traumatized hours after the robbery on October 2, 2016, and is scheduled to give a court appearance.

Men in their 60s and 70s are primarily men with criminal histories and underworld nicknames like “Old Omar” and “Blue Eyes,” which evoke the French bandits from the 1960s and 1970s film noirs.

Kardashian, 35, was tied up with her mouth taped up and threatened with a gun to the head. In France, this theft was the largest in the last 20 years against a private person.

The trial will also examine how the perpetrators learned about Kardashian’s whereabouts during Paris Fashion Week and when her sister Kourtney was missing from a club.

It is believed that Kardashian’s frequent posts about her wealth, personal life, and whereabouts may have aided the perpetrators’ actions. Starting at 1230 GMT, the trial begins.

Haul was never able to recover.

When two armed and masked men stormed into the star’s room after arriving at the hotel by bicycle at around 3:00 am, they were staying at a prestigious hotel in central Paris, which celebrities frequent.

They yelled at her ex-husband, rapper Kayne West, to request the diamond engagement ring.

It was being showcased by Kardashian on her social media channels, which included $4 million (3,500,000 euros) for the item.

The ring was taken from jewels worth $10 million.

A diamond necklace was the only item that the thieves recovered as they fled.

Kardashian’s bodyguard arrived at his client’s rescue after he was alerted, lasting only ten minutes.

DNA evidence led to the suspects’ three-month robbery being used to make their arrests.

However, it appears that the gold seized was melted down, and investigators believe that a large portion of the stolen haul was sold in Belgium after stealing hundreds of thousands of euros from the suspects when they were detained.

The “Easy” heist is

Ten suspects will go on trial starting on Monday, with the other twelve already charged. One of the two people who passed away in March of this year will be tried separately for medical reasons.

Aomar Ait Khedache, 68, known as “Old Omar,” claimed that the main suspect was an “easy” heist rather than a major armed robbery. Investigators located him and the other defendants thanks to his DNA from the scene.

He denies tying up Kardashian, but he refutes claims made by investigators that he was the mastermind of the robbery.

He claims an unnamed “sponsor” approached him and gave the plan the go-ahead in exchange for a “informant” close to the star.

Khedache can only express himself in writing, according to his attorney, and has severe hearing and speaking issues.

Didier Dubreucq, 69, who is alleged to be the second person to break into Kardashian’s room, is another important suspect. He denies the accusations.

According to the allegations, Yunice Abbas, 71, allegedly stayed in the lobby while the two other men entered her room.

In his controversial book entitled “I Kidnapped Kim Kardashian,” he attempted to capitalize on the crime.

Other defendants in the case include Gary Madar, the brother of Kardashian’s long-serving Parisian driver, who is accused of being a facilitator and informant.

He is accused of providing false information about her whereabouts.

One of the defense attorneys, Margot Pugliese, remarked that the trial “must allow for calm debates” despite the “media hype.”

The trial will continue until May 23.
