Meryl Williams, winner of the TV series Traitors, revealed how she used her prize money, which totaled a total of £100,000, to get cosmetic surgery.

Traitors winner Meryl Williams revealed how she spent a portion of her prize money on a forehead reduction surgery and boob job to address some of her ‘biggest insecurities’. The 28-year-old reality star, who was born with a form of dwarfism called achondroplasia, rose to fame on the first series of the hit BBC show, and shared the £101,000 prize pot with fellow winners Aaron Evans and Hannah Byczkowski.

Meryl, who had her first breast reduction as a teenager, revealed last year that cruel bullies frequently targeted her because of how unkind she looked physically. The former call center agent claimed in a particularly offensive scene that four teenagers began yelling insults at her and forced her to hide in a train toilet.

They boarded the train, and I sit next to them, and they have since said I need a step ladder to get off the train because I’m a midget and they have watched dwarf throwing,” she said in a social media video. They have taken photos and videos of me, they claim. They laughed at me because they claimed I had sausage fingers. They have said, “Excuse me,” and then they laughed at me as I looked up and stuck their tongues out at me.

She then urged people to “be nicer and kinder” to anyone who is “different or has a disability,” and said she typically avoided long trains in the event that she encountered abuse.

The young Scot, who underwent corrective spinal surgery in 2011, revealed a few months later that she had spent some of her money on forehead reduction surgery and that she had lost some of her followers. I wanted it for years, and it solved one of my biggest insecurities, my forehead.

Her posts included images of her forehead and face before the procedure as well as some “after” shots of her new profile. Before going into more detail, she explained that Dr. Greg Bran from the GBA London clinic stitched everything back together using a knife and a pin.

Meryl stated to The Sun that she wanted to “finally feel comfortable and proportionate in my own body” and that she wanted to feel “not a child and I want to feel sexy.”

Meryl revealed she signed up for the Claudia Winkelman-fronted show to raise awareness and alter the perceptions of her condition following her Traitors win.

“The whole reason why I wanted to go on the show was to raise awareness, a lot of people don’t think that I can do the same things they can,” “So I thought, if I go on and I do the same challenges that they all do, we all have a level playing field,” she said on Good Morning Britain in 2023. “A lot of the challenges people would ask if I got extra time and stuff and I didn’t. Even when I go out people think “Oh they can’t do this and they can’t do that” so I just wanted to show that I can do the exact same as everyone else.”

She also revealed that she planned to have her breasts enlarged and boosted again at the age of 16, but that she still embraced and “loved her body” as a result of her breast reduction. It will only help my confidence, she continued, “t I don’t feel like it will make a big difference to how I look physically.”
