Victoria was discovered unresponsive at a posh hotel in San Francisco on January 1st, and Tommy Lee Jones is mourning her passing.

A joke Tommy Lee Jones once made about his daughter has resurfaced after her shock death at the age of just 34. Victoria Jones was found dead in the luxury Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco on New Year’s Day. Police said foul play is not suspected, but have not yet confirmed an official cause of death.

Nearly 20 years earlier Tommy, now 79, spoke about his daughter in a 2006 interview with The New Yorker. At the time Victoria was 14 and had followed her famous father into acting with roles in Men in Black II and an episode of One Tree Hill.

The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada, a Western film based on her father’s direction, was the next film she was cast in. However, Tommy made fun of how he “fired” her because she refused to rise at 5am to film her part.

He praised his daughter’s acting abilities, saying, “She’s a good actress, has her SAG card, and speaks Spanish like a pro.” I told Leticia, her nurse, to speak to her in Spanish when she was a baby.

Tommy then went on to explain how he had fired her and said, “But I fired my daughter.” At 5 a.m., she had to rise. for her part. She refused to leave her bed one morning. Honey, this is work, I said. But she refused to change. So I let her go. The production staff then went over to her, unintentionally, and quickly drove her off the set.

Although no further information about Victoria’s death has been made, a guest reported to have discovered her lying on the ground in the hotel’s 14th floor. They called the hotel staff, who were worried that she might be inebriated.

Staff called emergency services and immediately began CPR after being discovered that they were unresponsive. She was later later declared dead by paramedics at the scene.

No signs of foul play or drug paraphernalia were found at the scene, according to a source who spoke to the Daily Mail. Additionally, it is understood that Victoria may not have committed suicide.

The source added that it’s not known whether Victoria stayed at the hotel or how she arrived on the 14th floor.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the San Francisco Police Department. According to a police spokesperson, San Francisco Police officers responded to a hotel on the 900 block of Mason Street on January 1 at around 3:14 am when a report of a deceased person was made.

Officers met with the medics who declared the adult female dead at the scene. The medical examiner arrived on the scene and opened the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the SFPD at 415-575-4444 or text TIP411 to start the message with SFPD.

With his second wife Kimberlea Cloughley, Jones, who received a Golden Globe Award for his role in The Fugitive in 1994, split Victoria, his son Austin, 42, and his second wife. He was married to her from 1981 to 1996.

Victoria made her acting debut with Men In Black II as a child, following in her father’s footsteps and starting out as a child. She had mostly withdrawn from the spotlight by the time she was older, though she occasionally accompanied Jones on the red carpet. Jones’ representatives have been contacted by The Mirror for comment.
